why does evryone think we have a playoof shot because we dont. Rams and the Seahawks will both turn it around and were out. Another problem we play PHILLY i said in another disscusion that it might be a upset but we must score 30 points to win and thats not going to happen.

THINGS THAT MUST HAPPEN FOR US TO WIN

PORTIS= 200 YARDS
RAMSEY=250 PASSING YARDS AND NO PICKS
WR'S= NO DROP BALLS
DEFENCE= LESS THAN 20 POINTS GIVEN UP

Man, why so angry, you need a hug. I think we all realize its a long shot to get to the playoffs, but it is a shot, a boy can dream can't he.

If we can win out, and that's a huge if, we have an excellent shot at making the playoffs. We hold the tiebreaker over the Bears, Bucs, and Lions, and still have to play the Cowboys and Vikings. As for beating the Eagles, we played them very close two weeks ago. But for some bad calls, we would have had a chance to win the game at the end. If the offense can continue to produce as they did against the G-spots, there is no reason we can't beat the E-gals.

I agree, if we win out our chances go from zero to something. The Vikings have made the same slip every year, and it's hard to see the Cowboys winning all the rest of their games (assuming that they beat us).

The Seahawks and Rams both have some inner turmoil going on this year, and we're playing like a true team. You gotta like that, even if we are the underdogs.

Besides, we've gotta be able to dream.

Playoff or no playoff...it will be a nice holiday present if they finish .500 this season. If they win against the Philly, I don't see any reason why they can't win the rest of the schedule.

And Im the supposed downer? LOL. 1st of all all of things that you listed are possible. Portis had 140+ yards on his own, and Betts most likely got us close to 200 yards this past Sunday.

Ramsey can get close to 200 yard passing and he didn't throw
any picks on Sunday.

Our WR's hardly dropped a thing last Sunday.

Our defense is capable of that IF offense plays like they played on Sunday.

I gave up on the playoffs after the Bengals loss; however, there are two things that I'd like to see happen this year (in order of priority):

1. Kick the crap out of the Cowboys; and
2. Upset the Eagles this week.

If we can't get #2 done, I'd be happy with #1.

I don't do those kinds of threads. I find no joy in doing a happy dance around a beaten dog. :lol:

Assuming we go 4-0, we have a great chance at the playoffs. Bulger is out for the rest of the year....seahawks look awful...tampa and carolina are the only concerns i have. But, if all doesnt work so well atleast we have one more week of being in it. Its been awhile since i was so pumped for a game this late in the season.

No, actually I remember a 7-6 game late in the 3rd quarter when the E-gals got two obviously bogus calls to extend scoring drives. This led to us abandoning our running game in Patrick's first start under Gibbs. Those late scores were during garbage time, and wouldn't have happened if the refs didn't hate us.
