The End of the Beginning

Today marked the end of the beginning of Joe Gibbs return. The offense has started to find itself; albeit against a weaker team. This is what we have been waiting for. Didn't today remind you of the 80s-90s Skins under Gibbs?

Whoa. Let's hold off on the Rose-Colored glasses. The Giants are awful.
Next week will prove a good test of where the team is.

actually, this week proved it wonker. Remember, we've played poorly on offense all season and it didn't matter what level of team we were playing. Ramsey played stellar, Joe called an excellent game and the monkey is finally off our guys back.
I fully expect us to compete with Philly like nobody expects us to. Not sure if it will translate into a win, but I got a good feeling.
Time for Joe to open up the playbook

We finally started to come out of our season-long slump. The Giants aren't two games under .500 because of their defense, it's because they can't score. They aren't great, but they have held teams like the Packers in check, and for us to manhandle them was great to watch.

I agree that we're finally seeing what a Gibbs-coached team should look like. but i'm holding off on the excitement. I loved, LOVED watching that game. it felt great to see them beating the hell out of a division rival, and I think we should all feel hopeful. but i don't see us beating the Eagles. The skins are close to being good, but the Eagles are a better team. They just are, and that's fine... they'll still lose the superbowl to Pitt or NE. In my view, we have a reasonable shot of closing out the next four games at 3-1 (or 2-2) which, though our final record would be weak, would be very very encouraging. I'll feel good if we give the eagles a scare.
