Disappionted but not Downhearted

Yet again the Skins lose a close game. With a little more composure and luck the Redskins could be right in the mix for a play off spot. Have only seen to live games as thats all that has been carried over in Blighty.

Thought we were robbed by the refs against Dallas, thought we were robbed by the refs aginst the Pack. Key penalties and turnovers have cost us dear.

Some good came out of yesterdays loss Ramsey looks like he will get a shot. Yes he will make more errors. He will get sacked more and throw more picks. However he will stretch the D and make them play.

Our D despite injuries is playing outstanding, i believe it is worth the risk of giving them a short field to defend occasionally if you are actually throwing the ball down the field and racking up the yards. Who knows every now and then if you throw it far enough and in the right direction you may get a first down.

Clinton Portis is a great back, its very hard for him tho when they only have to defend a ten yard deep stretch of turf, they can stack up against the run and just drop back a few steps and keep every play in front of them.

Ramseys ability to get the ball deeper will spread them out drop them back and there will be more space.

Ramsey is the future and the future is now. Give him a shot, Give Coles and Gardner something to aim for.

Gibbs will get it right. He is having to adjust, it will take time and changes to personel. You dont become a Hall of Famer by chance.

Playoffs may be beyond us. Respectabilty isn't.

I too agree. I am disappointed, but I don't feel the same way that I normally do after a loss. I watched the game with friends, and was telling them afterwards that I really wasn't upset, because I felt as if finally, I would now at least see something different in the weeks to come.

It's as if we all have been watching a really bad movie over and over again. After seeing the first few scenes, you immediately remember that you have seen the movie before, and you remember how it ends, and that it ends badly. With Brunell, we already knew how that movie ends week in and week out. After 9 weeks of being provided a chance, he cannot say that he was not afforded a sufficient opportunity to show what he could do. Coach Gibbs should be able to sleep well knowing in good conscious that he gave him a chance.

Speaking of chances, it appears that D Mac made the most of his chance yesterday. He made the most of the two passes thrown his way. He has placed Gibbs in a position where he will have to get more opportunities. My one criticism is that guys have to stop all of the post catch celebration and first down gesturing after "DOING THEIR JOBS".

Yes Ramsey will make more mistakes, but in the long run, the team has to evaluate what it has in Ramsey for decision making for next year. All in all, things are now looking up.

ill just point out one thing - the score shows this game as closer than it actually was.

How do you figure the score shows it was closer than it was? Ramsey almost brought those guys back and engineered the 10pts. The switch is late but at least now its in effect.
Beat philly!

Httr,

PS (For Moderator)- gracious thank you to the Mod squad for allowing this post, & forgiving Gibbs4life's raucous behavior early this yr.
