Shake up at QB and WR?

Joe Bugal said in his post game news conferrence that on Comcast Sports that they were going to look at the film and see if a change should be made at QB AND WR. Gibbs never said that Ramsey is the starter next week, but did hint that that is the way he was leaning. Skinschic should be happy that McCants saw some action (and he might get more next week) Dod you see that pretty throw that Gardner put in LCs hands (only to have Coles drop the TD)! Coles may be the WR that has his playing time decreased. Did anyone see Thrash pancake #93 for the Bengles?

As best I understand Gibbs-speak, he said that Ramsey will start next week.

Maybe McCants showed Gibbs -- two solid catches -- enough to get more playing time.

Maybe McCants replaces 1/2 of Coles or Gardner. That would be something. Clearly, Thrash and T Jacobs add a lot to special teams.

We had 5 receivers active today I don't see why we cant continue with all 5 on the roster.... it gives Gibbs more options

exactly- i don't know who gibbs deactivated to make room for mccants but why not just deactivate brunell? if ramsey AND hasselback go down gardner played QB in HS, just use him, he couldn't be any worse than brunell anyway.

i love coles, so i hate to say that he needs to have his playing time cut but clearly he does. he's running on a messed up foot and catching with a messed up finger, and the results have clearly betrayed that. a healthy coles would never drop so many passes, and he would get open a lot more often. so i say rest him up for next year, when he'll help us win the superbowl.

in the meantime, how about putting taylor jacobs in that spot? not that he's our best WR per se, but he's faster than the others (i believe) so he would be the best one to take over the deep routes and such.

this would help get McHands in there, which should be a priority because he is and always has been The Man.

If Coles made that touchdown, ooh, that would have been beautiful. I like McCant he's good.

Which Receiver is he talking about?

I thin it might be Gardner, he seemed to have lost his head with the underthrown passes. :x

I don't think that was underthrown. I think Coles should have stepped up. I love Coles but he and Gardner are starting to piss me off. I'm sorry but they are dropping key passes. They need to step up...

Coles and Gardnew both need to step up their play.
Coles is getting a TON of cash and all he is doing is dropping balls. Gardner only plays when he feels like it. It looked to me that he had given up on a couple of balls, one that was almost picked off.
McCants is a huge target and should be used more, if you remember he did have the most TD's for us last year.

Trust me, she was cheering when she saw him during pre-game warmups in full uniform.

That was great McCants got into the game and caught some balls. I think we'll be seeing him a lot more from now on. Come to think of it, I think auditions have begun for a lot of players.

We're at a time in the season where we need to throw the towel in. Now we need not give up but we need to bench our key players who are injured and let our young guys get some reps.

Coles: Bench him. He's hurt, and we want him to be 100% for next year. Someone said earlier that its obvious he's hurt and that his performance has dropped.

Gardener: I swore him off earlier in the season but he truely has stepped his game up and made some great catches.

Thrash: I never expected him to be a mainstay or a superstar. He's a role player, someone who doesn't do a lot out in the open but in the locker room he's a true support structure.

Taylor: We need to work him in, he may be replacing Coles if he goes down for good. We need him up to speed and seems to be a good player!

McCant: I think he'll show us why he belongs next week if he's in the game.

Overall we have a good stable of unknowns. Now is the time to train them.
