That is Gibbs-speak. He will
never speak badly of a player. He is always "reluctant" to make a change; he makes them, and moves on.
It was that way from the day he arrived until the day he retired.

Well said Welch. Sometimes Joe needs to be "translated" for some of the fans.
I will offer a different angle:
He will now support Patrick 100% and he will be VERY reluctant to change him. He will weather the storm with Patrick for the rest of the seaseon. If I was a QB, I would know exactly what to expect from my coach through good and bad games. My coach will be on my side.
