Giants' Status

Giant fan here. Thought you would want to know that Giants' starting DEs Michael Strahan (pectoral tear) and Keith Washington (ACL) are both out for the season. A nice 5-3 start that included losses at home to beatable Detroit and Chicago could well go down the tubes now. In any case, my sense is that you guys will see Eli Manning in a few weeks at FedEx. Warner's first stumble will give the kid his opportunity soon. Count on it, General Coughlin has not given up on this year and he will do what ever is necessary or possible to pull out 4 or 5 more wins and a shot at the playoffs.

I heard about those injuries, that's too bad, but I don't think you're going to get a lot of sympathy on this site when it comes to injuries on the defensive side of the ball... we still haven't got a down out of the damaged goods you sent us in Michael Barrow, and the two safeties we started the seson with are out for the year... not to mention Arrington's disappearing act, and Daniels' groin... need I go on?

I do believe Antonio Peirce's play and Corny Griffin's play more than make up for the loss of Barrow.....actually I guess it's not really a loss since to lose something you have to have it first.

Genuinely sorry about Strahan. We wanted to run him for town council in Montclair, NJ, because he is known to be a good person...smart, generous, public spirited.

If there must be a silver lining...he's got a brand new pair of twins that are gonna get to spend some time with their Dad.
I don't know if the Ends were the be-all and end-all of that defense. They seem to have some pretty good guys there right now, but they need to go get some more bodies for depth.
Having said that, it's only one game for us if that proves to be the end of the Giants.
If we do win, you hate to win it with the other guy missing two starters on the front D-Line.
