Brunell next year

Simple question, With Gibbs loyalty to Brunell, will the worst passer in the NFL right now be here next year? or will Gibbs give Ramsey a true chance to win?

I am sure he will be here.

The question is...Will he be playing? My guess is no.

There is too much invested in him to get rid of him. He will be the most expensive 2nd string QB in the league

After this year he will call it quits, because of all the jeers and I dont think he will be able to take it.....Good :)

He will be unable to walk, having suffered every bone in his body being broken by defenses that pin their ears back and pummel his arse into the turf. He will phone his wisdom to the true athlete, Patrick, in between morphine drips....

Hopefully he will do the honorable thing and retire.

He's a dead man!

His arm and his salary. This will go down as one of the worst moves Gibbs has ever made.

I think he will retire after this season HTTR

Retiring would be great because the skins could recoup some of his signing bonus, but like Ricky Williams once he realizes how much he owes back to the team he'll choose to stand on the sideline and enjoy the money in the bank.

Brunell will be here next year but unfortunately Patrick
won't.

:?: Wait... are we gonna sign Kerry Collins?? Is this a rumor? I don't see it reported anywhere.

I'd take Collins over Brunell. At least he can throw further than 23 yards and with Gibbs' calling the plays, I think he'd be fine.

Ramsey is under contract for next year and if he weren't going to be here Joe would put him in now and let him be killed.
Mark signed a 7 year contract that is getting shorter by the hour I figured he'd here for 3 years for cap purposes but it looks like we'll take the hit and get him out of here after next year. Mark will make 2.2 million riding the pine next year there will be someone holding a clipboard somewhere else making more

It could be worst

26. Jake Dellomme......69.3
27. Mark Brunell.......69.1
28. Steve McNair.......66.8
29. Kyle Boller........65.3
30. Kerry Collins......64.6

Brunell has more TDs than all ove the above except Dellomme
and less INT than the whole group

You know what ? I don't know. I guess it depends mostly on who becomes available in FA next season.
As for Brunell, I'm assuming he's in there solely because Patches ain't ready yet, and that's all. Were there a better option, Gibbs surely would've gone to it.

Right now there are a couple of QB's I wouldn't mind seeing behind centre for the 'Skins next year...
(in no order)
1.Jon Kitna, this guy had a great season last year with the Bengals. Lewis didn't even give him a chance in training camp to earn the starting job.
2.Tommy Maddox, if Big Ben continues on this tear he will be expandable. He had a down year last year, but was on the up if it wasn't for his injury.
I would say Drew Brees, but I'm not sure what the Chargers are going to do, since he is a free agent at the end of season. With the pace he is on now, he would be demanding a BIG contract, not sure if I would want the 'Skins to take that risk.

Aren't you tired of taking other teams Sh!t? Iknow I am. Truth is we are buried. There is no deep talent on the offensive side of the ball. This team needs a real GM. Gibbs didn't do the GM job his 1st tenure. So, we will go through this death waltz until Snyder hires a Macro/Micro manager that works with the ball coach and fires himself. Iknow Gibbs is calling the shots but maybe he shouldn't at this point in his life. (I in no way shape or form hate or blame gibbs. I just hate what this team has become over the years)

I AGREE .... but does any one really think GIBBS likes RAMSEY ??? i have my doubts or he would be on the field by now. i think GIBBS will draft a Q.B. or go sign a free agent Q.B.
i hope GIBBS will let ramsey on the field this year to see what he can do before going off and signing another old Q.B. :?

Exactly! I agree with you completely. I'm tired of taking used and abused players past their prime. We need to draft young players, raise them and have them play well for us.

AND THEN SHIP THEM OFF TO A BAD TEAM WHEN WE DONT NEED THEM!

He is probably fishing with Gus Frerotte and Heath Shuler. Hopefully they have an extra rod ready for Brad Johnson

Other teams crap? Are you kidding me? Past their prime are you kidding me?
The reason both of these players aren't starting is becuase they both weren't given the chance.
