HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED

Remember back during the offseason when we were all extatic about the return of JGibbs? Everyone was soo excited, they thought we were going to land in playoffs for sure! All this time I was known as the "skeptic" and the one who "does not believe in JGibbs," well see how times have changed!
Yall were bashing me about how I have no clue about what JGibbs is going to do. And that I did not "BELIEVE" in this great coaching staff and our players.
After half of the season, what do you have to say for yourselves?
Most of you are going to say that you also knew that this season would not be a nice piece of cake. That you were aware that it would take JGibbs some time to adjust to coaching in the new NFL. And that you knew this was a rebuiding season. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, MOST OF YOU WERE SO HIGH ON GIBBS COMING BACK, you did not let Reality smack you in the head.
Now, fans are questioning Gibbs' loyalty to Brunell. Gibbs is not having a good time in the NFL right now, he may have asked himself "why did i make this decision of coaching again."
I'm sorry guys, but I was waiting for this day when people would realize that we were not going to be a good team. I was full of anger and a sense of revenge back then when no one respected my thoughts. Now that it has come and that you all should realize it, I can become myself again.
Please read my other post, (link above) and express your thoughts in any way. If you want to start bashing me again, one day, I will come back with the upper hand and help us Redskin fans realize reality in the NFL.

I've stated all along that this would be a growing season, I throught 8-8 with next year being the true start of something special. I said anything more would be icing on the cake. I still believe that...

Hey man, I'm sorry if people made you feel disrespected, but I'm not sure that an "I-told-you-so" post after a terrible loss is the best way to gain respect.

i still believe in joe gibbs. it's my faith in brunnell that is wavering right now (and always has, by the way).

Exactly, we need to carve this turkey up for Thanksgiving.

I too still have faith in Gibbs. I mean, JC - the guy has been away from football for 11 whatever years, what do you expect? He will return the Skins to Glory...if not this year than next.

sportstalk 980 use to call this year return to glory in their promotions. I've noticed that they've dropped that moniker.

hats off i edited your post. no profanity abbrviations please.
if you run a search, you'll find that i said on numerous occasions how i thought 8-8 would be a step in a positive direction. it's true a lot of people were drinking the 10-6, 11-5, 12-4 kool aid, but like jansenfan said, the i told you so approach will keep people in the frame of mind not to respect you.
i also recall how a few weeks ago after the giants game you were leading the "ramsey will never cut it debate". in your link above, one of your points is to get ramsey in the game to better learn gibbs system.......

nobody likes a know-it-all, and your above post(s) prove you don't

Dude, it sounds like you've got some unresolved personal issues. So, while I never "bashed" you before...consider this my opening salvo.
It's time to get over it and move on. You're angry because you couldn't corral a group of 1,000+ posters to agree 100% with you??? Take out the pacifier, bro. And I mean that in the nicest possible way...

Wow Hatsoff you must be some kind of genius. I have to question your Redskin loyalty if you take such satisfaction in an "I told you so" at the expense of your team. I for one figured us to be good for 9 wins. I figured this staff over last years, plus Portis would be good for a 4 game improvement. Anyway, we do appreciate you reminding us all of your pure genius.

We are still ranked #1 in total yards. I wish we could divide that with the offense.

Yah, u got it right: I'm a genius and you all suck. (nah...just playin) But come on! I just wanted to let you all know that I had the right thought a long time ago when you all thought i was stupid. Thats the only point I wanted to get across.
And to the person that said that I was the leading canidate in saying that Ramsey sucked and that he should not replace Brunell, I don't think we as a team have any other option other than to start Ramsey. Brunell was a lot better than Ramsey but he is stinking it up. I'd rather like to take a look at hasselbeck ... but you know what type of discussion that would start.
If we want to be a good team in the long run, we have to start Ramsey NOW. Fans are already suffering so, why not make it more painful NOW and make it a lot better in the long run. This is a great opportunity to let Ramsey gain experience, because again: our season is already over.

Hats off your one of the fans I was talking to in my other post.
Hey you don't like it, fine just ship!
I never said this year would be good. Hailskins and I have called it a 8-8 season all year long. We also called yesterdays game.

Just rememeber your lack of faith, hatsoff2Gibbs... you WILL regret it... eventually. You base your judgement on such a small window of time... that's usually a sign of a green fan. When you've watched a little longer, maybe you'll stretch your out look to more than half a season or even a season.
And what's with the name if that's how you feel? Sounds like you might wanna change it to 'hatsOffToMe'.

OK Hatsoff I re-read the thread that you mentined and didn't find any bashing directed at you nor did I see any Super bowl perdiction for this year. If there was any bashing going on it was chalktalk and SkinFan 0-16 or 16-0 directing it to each other. Here's your post that started the thread

Post subject: Don't Be Too Excited
We are all pumped for the next season but take some time and think about it. I think most redskin fans believe too much on JGibbs. I know he's a hall of famer but one coach cannot make a 5-11 team to a superbowl champion. For our own good, we should not hope for a superbowl year because, unfortunately I do not believe we will be that good. I will be happy if we have a .500 season or better, which Gibbs should achieve. Say what you want! I'm not at all against the skins or JGibbs. I am as much as a fan as you all are BUT don't be over excited beause you will regret it later. Next season is a transition season even though we have a hell of a team. It takes time for chemistry to occur, and Gibbs will definitly have great, great success in the seasons to come. [/i]
I had the last post before it fell of the board

Of course, there are naysayer’s or those who question his long absence from the game or his ability to relate to today’s players. Even Gibbs’ humble demeanor often leads one to wonder if he is ready to bring the Redskins franchise back to glory. To the opposing teams, I will say one thing – don’t get caught at the starting line because this engine is just getting started (and I’m not talking about the successful NASCAR empire Gibbs has built). Joe Gibbs, a man of faith, determination, and respect is back to dust off his three Super Bowl trophies, and build a new shelf in the case for the future one’s he plans to add. To the fans - be patient, sit back, and enjoy the ride because things are looking up in Hog country.

As long as Joe Gibbs is the coach there will always be High Hopes for this team Mr. Gibbs expects it and we shouldn't let him down

Will I regret it this season? Absolutely not! Do you think we have a chance at .500? I've said that THIS season is not our season. Nothing about the future seasons.

There's no bashing going around in the posts and links you have provided. But believe me, I know what I read before. Basically no one was accepting my thought of us not being a good team. ALMOST everyone said I was actually a puke fan.
Now that hurt.

I only picked the Skins to go 7-9, but it doesn't even look like that is going to happen....i am a skins, braves, duke blue devil fan......i am used to let downs for the past 5 years.....
