New Theory

Please do not laugh at me, but hear me out. I say yank Brunnell and put in Hasselbeck. Yes I said Hasselbeck. He may not be able to get the long ball off but he can move a bit. He can get back up and shake it off. Brunnell looked like a little boy whose dog died out there when he got sacked. I honestly thought he was going to cry. I am a Ramsey fan just as much as the next fan BUT if he needs this time to learn the offense, this time to recover from what Spurrier did then fine, let him have it. But no more Brunnell. How can you possibly hold your head high when the best pass of the game for your team was when you handed it to your WR to make the pass. Come on now. Gardner has better accuracy then Brunnell that is SAD SAD SAD! Put Hasselbeck in there. Give him a shot, you never know what might happen. He may be the mentor in disguise that Ramsey is looking for as far as mobility and consistancy. It sure as hell is not Brunnell.

His main problem is Brunell's arm is too weak. Why put someone who has a weaker arm in. Get rid of both and start Ramsey.

I´m just praying that tomorrow we´ll hear from Gibbs that Ramsey will start next sunday, if not we´ll look for another 10 to 14 points from the skins.

You are a strange person. Just when you have won your argument without a shadow of a doubt, you change your position.
You convinced me. It is time. Brunell has no strength, accuracy or vision. What is worse, not even hope of improving. Everybody in the league knows how to beat him.
You wanted Patrick and now I have no doubts anymore. Even if Patrick takes a while toget going, I would rather invest time on him than Brunell.
It is time for Patrick.

Gibbs is keeping Brunell, period. There's no point of arguing.

EXACTLY! and this is why this season is a wash! live with it. This season is over. This was a nice example of how the same people can actually protect the QB. It showed the team that it was not them but the coaching. This is simply practice to get their blocking down and learn the offense. Brunell has no arm, no legs, and has bad reads. Why do you think the Jaguars went with a Rookie QB? He's past his prime. But he does have a great personality!

What are yall talking about???!!!!??? Hasselbeck doesnot have a weak arm!!!!
He makes bad decesions at times, but he does make plays something our incumbent QB knows nothing about.

BS!!! We buy the Tickets!! Why buy the overpriced clothing!!!We pay for expensive parking and have to put up with traffic.
We will argue until we are blue in theaGD face!! Get Brunell down and give the paying customers what they want.

the problem with this is that by putting in your third string qb when the team is 2-5 sends a message (whether intended or not) that the season is over. i think many players may mail it in after that.

Good point!!! Very very true.

At 2-5 with two games left against the Eagles, it is safe to say that this season is definetly over.
Gibbs has to make the change. Not because Ramsey gives us a better chance to win, but because in 2005, he better give us the better chance to win. Put him in there, protect him, and maybe he will be a better quarterback in 2005.
If you didn't think this season was over but still wanted a quarterback change, then maybe Hasselbeck would be an option. But if you are builiding towards 2005, start Ramsey and have Hasselbeck be the backup...

I think our players still have heart. Our defense is still ranked #1 at average!!

You always have the option of NOT buying the tickets, or the overpriced clothes, or even paying for parking...if you don't go.
I'm sure there will be other fans who will snag your tickets and wait out the lulls before the big turnaround. Your purchasing of tickets to a sporting event does not "entitle" you to make personnel decisions contractually granted to the coach.
As for Hassy.... give Ramsey the chance before surrendering the reins to Tim. Ramsey's waited his turn, and his number may soon come up. I admire his professionalism and his character throughout this whole time.

That is so true. Football is nothing but entertainment. The problem is no one is being entertained. The product that is being presented to us sucks and we want a better product, despite all the 'Con-Jector views.'

BumL said that nobody is perfect. He brings up a good point. I don't expect him to be perfect, only to complete the passes when it matters. A poor pass on 1-10, okay. A mis-throw with broken protection, okay. A missed throw with time in the pocket on 3rd down is inexcusable. I expect more from a well paid quarterback. We could get that performance from Shane Matthews for about 6 dollars a week. And everyone is saying he has no time. I have been at every home game this year and traveled to the Browns game. BumL hasn't seen nearly the rush that Ramsey saw last year and he performed as well if not better. BumL must go, the game has passed him (not Gibbs) and his arm by.

If Brunell is out then it must be Ramsey to replace him.Ramsey is our future and Gibbs already said so. I do remember that Gibbs was impressed with Hasselback in the preaseason though.
