When does Philthy's run end

It looks like Philly gets the East again this year, when do we think the Skins or another NFC East team will unseat them? How long until Owens and Kearse's deal creates Cap Hell for those punks?

Next year, the Skins take the East.

You're joking, right?

I'll be thrilled if we overtake the Giants next year.

Wonk, I never joke about something like that. With Gibbs having 1 year under his belt, the Skins will stun a lot of people next year.

There is still time for Filthy to do what they do best choke when the heat is on

Right now the Giants if they continue to win and not lose any more could set up a showdown meeting between the 2 the next time around

Um, that's pretty much the formula all 32 teams are shooting for!

there teeth

eventually it all comes back to bite you in the ass

We (the fans of the rest of the NFC East) can only hope.

It's unfortunate that it's still Philly way out in front of the NFC East again this year, but I really don't see how they can possibly continue that trend for much longer with the improved coaching around the division.

They've got to have some bad Karma coming their way from Mr. Owens, though...

I never have to hope the E-Girls are frauds and it all ways comes back to bite them in

I'm really worried about Philthy. They didn't have a rb vs. Baltimore and really controlled the game. If Chunky Soup doesn't have a fluke fumble, they win easy.

Does anyone know how bad their cap situation is?

Don't know, but the Patriots are over.

Philly is millions under the cap, the team will be together for a long time, sorry to say.

Actually, the Iggles are alot better off than the 'Skins are at the moment, the highest payroll in the NFL you guys have...shame the results aren't clear yet. I expect you guys to be in the position the Giants are shaping up to be in this year. It'll come, and at least we can all rejoice in the face that Dallas will still suck terribly.

The Skins are also the most valuable sports franchise in history. Where does Philly fall on that list?

Anyway, a lot of that payroll is for the coaches, and it will look brilliant once things turn around.

Don't remember the subject of the post having anything to do with which franchise is more "valuable". I thought the question that was posed earlier was about salary cap position. I made no bad comments about the Redskins, all I said was that cap wise, at this point, Philly is in better shape.
In terms of the coaches, it remains to be seen if they all stay around. Rumors are flying (not only on this board) about Williams being looked at.

So, what does the team payroll (which includes coaches) have to do with the cap position, Mr. Football?

When I said payroll, what I meant was what the players were being paid, I should have more specific. My bust. You brought up the coaches, which I assume came from my not being more clear. My apologies for obviously offending you and causing you so much stress that your only recourse is to sarcastically refer to me as "Mr. Football".

But to answer the question about the Eagles salary cap directly, they are a few million under it, and are in no danger of having to make drastic changes maintain that position.

AGREE !!! [-o< hopefully the offense will improve after 1 full year under GIBBS and BRUNELL will be on some beach some where far away from our training camp this year !!!

That's where you are wrong, R4E, if we've invested so much money to prepare Brunell to run the system, would it not be in our best interest to keep him on our roster, even if he's not the starter. We wouldn't want to be caught unprepared in the even that Ramsey goes down early next season. I think the city would implode if the team wen through another 2-5 start under Gibbs.

How can that be? Didn't they sign McNabb, Kearse, Owens, Dawkins to big deals? Their OLine must be pricey.

I believe at last check the Iggles were 18.4 million under, it may have changed, but not by much. Jeff Lorry (I always spell it wrong) is a master of controlling the cap. I couldn't begin to tell you how he does it, but the Eagles do have alot of average/above average "unknowns" that keep the tab down, and yet perform well in the system. I was shocked too with T.O, the Freak, McNabb, etc., I thought we would be in big trouble. If you look at Westbrook (currently Westbroke) he is doing extremely well, but is not a high dollar guy, the TE situation is also similar.
