1) how many of you believe these spurrier to dolphins discussions? as you know, we still hold the rights to the ol ball coach for 3 years. keep in mind the fins have no 2nd rounder (eagles for feeley). its highly unlikely they give us their 1st rounder. but we should definitely get something. any thoughts?
2) eagles will have the fins 2nd rounder next yr which could be the 33rd pick of the draft. thats basically a 1st rounder. dallas also has buffalos 1st rounder which is looking like a top 5 pick. our division will only get tougher. the skins gotta draft better. we have no 2nd rounder next yr.
3) chicago and dallas were both without one starting corner. cleveland's 2 CBs were injured but played. the g-men didnt have 1 starting safety for our game and the other is now lost for the season. why couldnt we have been more successful with the passing game?
4) here's hoping the jets dont/cant resign jon abraham and shaun ellis. either of them would be a big help next yr.
5) any of you see gregg williams playing a 3-4 when barrow comes back? daniels, griffin, and wynn on the line. marcus and lavar on the outside and pierce and barrow on the inside. would be pretty tough to run against that if you ask me!
hey, looks like gregg listened to me when i said last week to blitz taylor! how did quinn not fumble that ball! the legend has begun. will be better than ronnie lott. mark my words!!

I do not believe it will happen this season. But if it did, someone make sure that he is surrounded by -experienced- NFL assistant coaches.
This season could go no worse for the Fish.

Nope. Our three fron DL would not have the size and speed to do it. Besides, Barrow will be sent to IR -very- soon.
Ah! and yes, you were right on the Sean thing. But this was to be expected. In GW scheme anything can happen.

I read that Barrow is set to make his debut against the Pack. I can't vouch for the accuracy, but I think I read it in the Post.

Yep, I read that too. As long as LaVar and Washington are healthy, I'm not too concerned about Barrow. Pierce has been playing great and will get playing time regardless of Barrow's health status.

Can we afford either Abraham or Ellis? Haven't we learned that FA are not the way to fix this team. Let's get back to drafting and developing!
Also, Corey Simon is going to walk from Philly I'd love to weaken that team (although they have a young kid who looked very good against Carolina.)

Excuse me. Are the above two paragraphs above not a contradiction???

Spurrier might end up down here, but his main place he'd probably go would be Tennessee, but they're having a very good season. Florida is possible, but Ron Zook is a good offensive coach which is Spurrier's speciality. Arkansas might of had him this year, but Houston Nutt is in a love affair with AD Frank Broyles. So, I doubt he comes to college ball atleast in the SEC.
Second, We have already guaranteed ourself a good-ish place in a draft that can blow this last year's draft out of the water.

didn't we buy out his contract? Does that mean we still have rights to him?.. But i don't think it matters cause he's going back to the college game where the safety's are slower and the linebackers can't cover

Yes TC! I see the return of LA as adding to the defence especially late in the game when the extra conditioning drills pay off.
I do not expect any changes just maybe more aggression (if thats possible!)
I am disapointed that Barrow is not contributing yet because the defence needs the depth in the later parts of the game.
I also am intrigued by his "popularity" with the coaches who must consider him very special to have waited this long, and counting!

Spurrier can flourish in the NFL. He needs more hot routes and tougher slash backs.

I respectfully disagree. He needs A LOT more than that.
How about adjusting to the game?
How about a hospital for his QBs?
How about good judgment to select experienced assistants?
How about ...
You get the picture.
