Draft and Coles

I am sorry I said anything bad about Coles. He put up good numbers last year becuase he had a good Qb to throw to him. His name was Patrick Ramsey. This year he has the wrost Qb in the league throwing to him, or course he will not put up good numbers. Say what you want about the preseason, but Dolphins and Falcons or Panthers and Rams which teams do you think are harder to play against. My point exactly. Since we are competing for the No.1 pick in this years draft all will be forgiven if Portis is shown the door and we draft CEDERIC BENSON. He will be the best Rb in the league as a rookie. I would trade our draft pick and any player we got to get this kid yes including Taylor or Lavar. Start Ramsey if we want to get anything out of this season. Brunell is washed up, he has proven it this year. We wasted a third round pick on his sorry worthless butt. We should have traded Baily to the Jets for their first round pick and traded that pick for a next year's fist round pick so we can get CEDERIC BENSON.

Their also not using Coles like he should be. Coles has speed. He is meant for speed. He is a speed demon. He is not meant to run all over the field in circles. That would be Gardners job. Coles is meant to take away the corner and safety. Send him on a speed route straight up the field. This will open up the the ten to twenty yard range. Where's Jacobs and Mcants? I saw Jacobs catch one ball on a third down play. Where's Mcants? Didn't he have the same numbers as Coles last year? Did we throw that talent away?
Brunell sucks. lame duck. lemon. He can't turn and run towards his right (for some reason) because he's left handed, and when he runs to the left to throw he looks stiff leged and looks like he's in pain turning to throw the ball. Why? It should be smooth. It shouldn't look like a Hail Marry! It should be crisp. GET HIM OUT!

Oh ....I don't have a problem with QB's throwing away a ball...but don't do it every play and make an excuse like Gibbs wants him to throw the ball away if he can't don anything with it. He gets paid to do something with it. He gets paid good money to do something with it. Now Hasselbeck might have a reason to throw it away but not Brunell or Ramsey. Make something happen. Why is it that I'm seeing all over the league this weekend where QB's were throwing balls between 2-3 defenders and their receivers catch the ball....we can't even get a ball to one receiver with 0-1 defenders on them?

???? Are you serious?? Bensen...give me a break, he isnt even the best back in college. You dont draft a rb in the first round anyways. People on this board need to realize that our d is good and when the offense comes around we will win. We have lost several games due to mistakes. We must understand that these players must learn to win because all they do is look for ways to lose. This takes time!! You cant snap your fingers and reverse 12 years of Arizona Cardinalesque play.

Brunell didnt play well last night but his play is hardly the reason for the 1-4 start. Stop with the Brunell bashing. Saying that I am a fan of Ramsey and I think he is the future and must play.

We don't need to bash brunell, his play speaks for itself. The refs and headsets blinded some people the last couple of weeks, but there were no excuses last night, he just sucked it up. He's lost the ability to throw short now, his arm is so weak he now throws it 10 yards and skips it into the receivers arms.

I do appreciate that Brunell plays pretty smart. He doesn't throw a lot of interceptions and seems to know when to throw the ball away. But he just doesn't make alot of plays either. You can't go three and out repeatedly and tell the guy "Way to go. You didn't throw any picks."

I can think of 10 RB's I'd rather have than Benson, in college alone. I have the feeling I'm writing to a 9 year old.

I'm not a moderator, but that sort of talk doesn't belong here. No direct personal attacks, as the board rules say, and as the hard-working real moderators keep reminding us.

Furthermore, I've never heard of these college players, so reading it makes me feel like a 10-year-old. :)

Cedric Benson? You son of a...

:)

As an Arkansas fan, I'll say this is his first decent year. Last year when he was playing us and Texas was starting to go down the drain, Cedric Benson just started wearing down and down and down until you barely had to shove him and he'd gladly fall down.

Through his career, he has run up yards verse awesome run defenses like Rice, Baylor, Texas Tech, ect.

Gambit on Henson - "He is getting ready to take over. You just watch and wait" Will do, Gambit buddy!

Sorry, but the Yankees are plenty happy with the current third-baseman. I'll watch, but I expect to wait a lot longer before Drew Henson ever makes it...wait, you say that Henson gave up baseball? But that was his better sport!

Who said Portis was going to suck before the season started, me. Like always I am right. 10 backs better than Benson in college, get a brain. Peterson, who has more rushing yds. this season oh yeah Benson. Peterson beat him on Saturday but guess what Benson has no Qb and o-line he is doing this by himself. Oklahoma has a better D, 0-line and a much better Qb. They won becasue they have a better team. Benson constantly sees 8 man in the box and he still puts up better numbers. Peterson has one of the best passing offenses in college football. He never sees a 8 man box. Benson constantly sees it and there is still nothing teams can do about it. Texas didn't loose because of the talent in the Rb's they lost because of overall talent. Benson is the best player in college football. His team no way. The wr's at Texas are decimated by injuries they even use Benson as a wideout.

If you look at the games he picked it up at the end of the season, he didn't wear down at all. You think I am going to listen to a Arkansas fan, didn't they beat you guys this year. Don't hate because he is not on your team. My favorite team is Nebraska, so don't give me this crap that I am a Texas fan.

Destroyed Arkansas another crappy run defense.
