I've got a question

For you fans out there that really followed Joe Gibbs for the first time around.

Would he ever replace a quarterback?

From his personality I don't know whether he would or not.

I'm sorry but Brunell just can't get it done. I thought I would rather have him in the than Ramsey but I think I was worng.

But don't get it twisted I'm here even if we lose ever game.

Just look at the name. SkinFan 0-16 or 16-0. It means I'm a fan whether we lose everygame or win everygame.

That's the one problem I wish Gibbs would give up on. Brunell couldn't carry the team to the playoff's unless he drove the bus.

Nope. I wasn't there, I was too young but I can tell that he cares entirely to freaking much about hurting peoples feelings and egos. I'm going to the smack forum, because I can't say what I really want.

If you play your heart out and your execution is good, he will not replace QBs.

Theisman was playing an awful game against NY when he got hurt. He was replaced and we won passing the ball all night long!

Joe was -very- patient with Williams at the end of his career, even in some lousy situations.

He knows better than we do, how much of the responsibility is Brunell's and how much is his own. He knows what calls worked and what calls didn't.

Is his patience endless? Not at all.

He might give yet another chance to Brunell next Sunday but that is about it if he does not deliver.

Gibbs will switch QB's, he doesn't like to, but in 87 he went back and forth between Jay Shrader(SP) and Doug Williams. If Brunell is not doing what Gibbs says he will replace him.

I've been watching Gibbs his whole career, in the NFL and NASCAR. He didn't give up on anybody, unless there was an injury, real or imagined. He didn't quit in Joe "I'm the worste footfall commentator" Theisman when he was 0-5, Labonte when he was going through he serious drought year or Stewart when he was constantly in trouble.

I'd be drop dead surprised if Brunell was benched before the bye-week and even if he loses against the Bears, wouldn't be shocked to see him behind center after the bye.

Gibbs was always afraid of damaging a QB's psyche. He always felt that the QB needed to work through his tough times. But in this day and age Gibbs needs to learn that football positiona are like every other job and the players look at it that way also especially when they are pricing themselves on the market. If your not doing your job you get replaced. simple. from janitor to millionar it doesn't matter if you are doing all the right things...it the end result is not what was expected then replace him.
I can't expect Gibbs to have expected 1-4.

I agree with what has already been said, in that, JG will keep MB in there while he is doing what JG & Breaux want. I also think that when JG (NOT us) thinks that Pat AND the offensive line are ready THEN we will go to Patrick.

thats what is keeping me a little sane as these losses to bad teams keep happening.

Part of it should fall at the feet of my personal hero- Joe Bugel. Face it, that game plan, and every game plan this season - has been simple, poorly executed and very defensible. Portis is no-John Riggins... why ask him to be? Brunell is no Brett Favre... why ask him to be? Cooley is an unused weapon - Sellers should be carrying the ball on short yardage and misdirection is considered Miss Congeniality's second-cousin.
Half-back pass? Using Morton on third-down? How about actually throwing the ball to Portis in space... instead of to the grub worms, eight yards and two hops from Portis... sorry to vent folks.
