It'll never happen but...

I realize the league would never do this but if I were commissioner this is what I would do.

The NFL admitted that officials blew the two calls in the Dallas game. Of course, after the game is over, nothing can be done about it right? Well, what if the league decided to compensate the Redskins by doing something it did have control over-- the suspension of Jamal Lewis. Wouldn't that be a great make-up call for the league. Suspend Lewis in time for this Sunday's game!

take into account also that if Lewis isn't suspended till November, he could potentially miss the Dallas game on Nov. 21. But suspending him now would benefit the Skins and penalize Cowboys.

Like I said, It won't happen but that would certainly go a long way towards righting the wrong...

Of course that can't happen but if the Ravens had any class they should just release him now, but heck what's a little business, Jamal plead just like Ray Lewis did. The Raven's are classless.

I wish something could be done to make up for blown calls but honestly this isn't workable. If this kind of stuff happened it could come back to bite us in the butt. I think we need to play flawless football so the refs cannot cost us a win. Then we can be mad at the refs but still happy! ;-)

Did/can the refs get fined for blowing these game-deciding calls? Of course, fining the refs in question won't change the fact that they cost us the game, but it would help calm me down a little. :)

You start fining refs and then they get skitish and stop calling penalties. Nobody is perfect and they deserve at least 3 complaints then either fire them or retrain them. Full time refs paid by the league from all the owners would not be so bad.
As far as making it up to us....if we would have scored in the red zone when we get their this would not be a problem. settling for field goals isn't going to cut it.
Better routes by the receivers and better throws will open up the running game. It makes it more difficult to run with 8 men in the box.

...must be a slow week

Our defense can and will contain Lewis. You posted like you really fear Jamal.

He has been held in check all season except against the Bengals, otherwise he's been under 100 yards a game.

The Skins have the #1 run defense. Nuf' said.

Post of the day! You hit the nail on the head. The refs didn't cause us anything, if we would have executed we would have won. We came close to winning without them.

We don't need any help from anyone before we help ourselves 1sT!

thats true, we shouldnt have to be relying on little hit or miss plays to win we should be consistant enough to play thru that and just win some ball games

Hey pal, look above. I for one, am not dwelling on the refs. Quite a few agree with me! ;-) Don't try to start trouble! We have accepted that the team cost us the game, not the refs. But you just wait until next time buddy! :-)
