Gameday! Redskins-Browns @ 1 p.m. ET

October 3, 2004

Kick return specialist Chad Morton is listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Morton has a knee sprain that limited him in practice last week.
Morton's absence means that James Thrash and Ladell Betts will likely share kickoff return duties. Thrash is expected to handle punt return duties.

Linebacker Mike Barrow is also listed as inactive and will be replaced for the fourth consecutive game by Antonio Pierce.

Running back Rock Cartwright and wide receiver Darnerien McCants will make their on-field debut on Sunday. Both were among the inactive players for the first three games. Cartwright can also return kickoffs.

The Redskins' complete list of inactives are as follows: Morton, safety Andre Lott, Barrow, linebacker LaVar Arrington, offensive lineman Mark Wilson, tight end Robert Royal and defensive end Phillip Daniels.

The Redskins' third quarterback is Tim Hasselbeck.

The Browns have listed the following players as inactive: running back James Jackson, defensive linemen Gerard Warren and Corey Jackson, wide receiver Richard Alston and offensive linemen Kirk Chambers, Ryan Tucker and Bo Lacy.

The Browns' third quarterback is Luke McCown.

The Browns have announced that William Green will start at running back. It is expected he will share duties with second-year player Lee Suggs.

Jake...he didn't "receiver" (?) any playing time ??? Are you not getting enough sleep ??

One question on the subject though...was Jacobs active also ?? If so...didn't Gibbs say he could only have 4 WR dressed ?? Whats up with that?

I was wondering if Lavar being on IR gave him the spot to activate Darnerian?? Who knows. It doesn't do very much good to activate him and not use him though does it??

What difference does it make if they don't let him on the field anyway - uniform OR street clothes ????
