What If?

Don't get me wrong I hope Brunell has a great experience in Washington. I hope he's able to play at a level that brings another championship to Washington. I hope he is one of those guys still getting it done at 37, 38, who knows? But what if he just can't do it? How badly have we hung ourselves out from a cap standpoint? If he couldn't play and we released him after the season, or if he retired with class, what kind of hit do we take?

Gibbs won Super Bowls w/Joe Theisman, Doug Williams, and Mark Rypien and had winning seasons with Jay Schroeder. Those are certainly not Elway, Marino, or Kelly, et al.
My point is, don't worry. If he has to, he'll win with Hasselback and Hasselback will become the next "Rypien"...

I love "what if" questions. What if my sister had a sack? She'd be my brother. Moral of the story: Worry about the things you can change, live with the things you can't.

Well, technically, I think nowadays your sister could "change" and have a sack. I'm no doctor...but I do watch the occasional Jerry Springer...j/k

LOL, and "if" she chose to have said surgery, she'd be my brother thus proving my point.

SGT PSN, You apparently do not understand. I am asking about salary cap ramifications. I said I HOPE Brunell succeeds in Washington, it is becoming a concern that he will not, so if forced to release him how bad of a cap hit do we take, money, that is what I'm asking Sarge

Trust me your sister doesn't have a sack

If the Redskins were to cut Brunell after this season--certainly a possibility considering he will be 34 in September and has a history of injuries--he Would count $7.2 million against the Redskins' 2005 cap in dead money. If they were to terminate his contract before the 2006 season, he would count $5.8 million against the 2006 cap in dead money.

lets keep him for next year, then get a QB in the draft. And then... sorry Mark, but his contract is just too much money. Maybe he would retire and help us out?

Ok let's keep the "sack" talk about football. And I don't think we need to waste a draft pick on a QB we have Hasselbeck and could easily sign my man (Gibran Hamdan) again. Problem solved if we release Brunnell.

LMFAO.
Hey, wait a minute...

Why? "Sack" is the term used when a defender tackles the QB behind the line of scrimmage. Get your mind out of the gutter ya sick-o!

Ok help me out here.....your sister has a sack? Is she in the sack or is she simply claiming ownership? How did she get in the sack? Is there room for other people in the sack or just her? OH MY GOD....what if you really don't have a sister and you were just making it up?...........Is your sister big? Is she seeing anyone?

Whoa Vriel! He was saying his sister plays football from what I gather. And that she has "a sack", must mean she is on defense! Don't go getting all excited!
No, Danny, no!!! (Don't let Niki do that)
Danny and I have an arrangement, I come up with the plan and he claims it as his own!

So don't be surprised to see Gibran on our roster before the year is over. Danny learned to listen me after the whole "bring Woeful back" debacle.
