We out played the Cowboys, and before you go telling me this belongs in smack, Primetime and DCF, check out these stats.
Dallas Skins
1st Downs
14 21
Time of Possesion
24:51 35.09
Total Net Yards
287 384
Net Yards Rushing
50 94
Net Yards Passing
237 290
To me this is the reason not to be upset about this loss.

Exactly! 'Skins played better, 'Boys got the breaks. That happens sometimes.
Remember, a very bad Redskins team was the last team to beat the Patriots last year. That day the better team lost, just like on Monday...

This is one time that stats just dont mean squat. According to these stats, we won.

The losers often have better "stats" in every category but points.
Dallas had better stats than Minnesota in week one, but guess what, it's still a loss.
The team trying to catch up often has plays that don't mean squat in the grand scheme of things, but count in the "stats" column. Look at the last play of the game. Subtract an absolutely meaningless 49 (I think) from the 'skins and they start to look a lot closer.
Factor in that the Cowboys' last drive consisted of something like 10 total yards on the scoresheet but took almost 4 minutes off the clock (the "stat" that really mattered at the time) and you'll soon see that trying to achieve a moral victory with statistics still won't change the fact that the 'skins are in last place in the division and no matter what happens next week, they still will be again.

When we go to Dallas we will bring in our local Refs. They are the ones who really decided this game.

I was just saying this was my bright side curveball. I am happy with these stats because last year we didn't have games like this very often.

I'd wager that your friends would describe you as "peppy".
I was trying to invoke a discussion on meaningless statistics such as TOP (I'd take ten 80 yard runs and two minutes in TOP anyday) before Mr. Cabernet responded to the first thread with an opposing POV with the juvenile "We was jobbed" take.

and curveball, i'd bet your friends call you a smarta$$.
My take on the game is that overall the two teams were pretty even. The thing I noticed about the redskins is that we did rush for chunks of yards throughout three quarters of the game, but when we got down into dallas territory we couldn't put the ball in the endzone. Also, when the defense needed to make a stop we let dallas rush for another first down which allowed even more time to run off the clock.
Yes the two calls were horrible and probably would have made it a different game, but the calls weren't anything a good team couldn't overcome. The big thing about last night is the two wasted time-outs
All I can say is I wish arrington had played last night and gotten to vinny early on.

Let's watch the baited name calling, okay folks?
NikiH, if you look at the recent history between the Skins-Cowboys....many games were dominated by the Skins only to have the Cowboys win.
I have no clue why...or what the heck is happening....but maybe the devil is a Cowboy fan or something (because the Cowboys send him so many clients)...and he controls the NFL.
In the past few years (and this year), I am convinced the Redskins have a better team. On game day, stats don't mean squat, however, it's what's on the scoreboard that counts.

Yep curveball I'm the head of the "Pep Squad" here!

I am not going to blame this on the refs because without major mistakes made be people in burgundy and gold, not black and white, and we would have won the game easy!
