Has anyone heard or read an interview with Chris Cooley? he's gotten a lot of mentions, but not that much attention... i don't know much about him... still,
I like this guy... made some solid plays yesterday...
i haven't noticed... have they tried to work him into any running plays or pitchouts? you'd think a guy that size could plow through from the one, where portis seems to have trouble.

Here's where I started to like Cooley.

It's his diary from training camp. The kid is modest but seems to be a hard worker. I hope we see more of him, and I was wondering why he was key on one drive and then we saw nothing of him the rest of the game yesterday.

I think Gibbs is going to use Cooley as a sort of secret weapon. He's talented and physical, and I think he's got a bright future in Joe Gibbs's offense.

When the Skins were at the goal line for the first time, I kept shouting..."PLAY ACTION, PASS TO COOLEY IN LEFT ENDZONE...TD!"

Gibbs didn't hear me, though. (Maybe I should buy dream seats next year.)

I was with you Justice, and it was only because I thought they'd plan on it being in Portis' hands.

It almost looked like Portis gave up long before he even got to the pack. Not that he wanted to, but it just looked like he resigned himself to not making it without trying to muscle his way through.

hey!! here's an idea!!

why not hand the ball off to Cooley inside the 2 yrd line??

seems like he would be a perfect guy to jam the ball in for a TD on the goalline.

just my opinion.

it's not portis' fault that the overpaid line gets blasted backwards on every play. they get no push. but, this is discussion for an entirely different thread.
