Interesting concept

I saw on comcast sports net that kelly johnson said tht Ryan Clark will be seeing time at linebacker replacing LaVar.
I started thinking that maybe Sean Taylor should see some time at linebacker. He is bigger than Clark and Lemar Marshall.
Not saying that they would or should do this but it is an interesting concept.

What?
Either Kelly or you should be drug tested.

I agree with the Town Drunk.
Taylor needs to master his own position before he starts trying to learn another. It's the Spurrier way, otherwise.
Don't go throwing a stark rookie to the wolves, man. It ain't right.
I'd send John Hall first. He's a proven commodity.

Funny you should post this SkinFan. Today, I had this same thought, since Taylor is as big as many NFL linebackers already. When I looked at the size of some of Tampa's linebackers from week one, they were Taylor's size. Not to mention the fact that since Gregg Williams appears to use his linebackers in his blitzes frequently, then this seems feasible.
Think about it, it would allow Andre Lott to remain on the field with Bowen and Taylor. As long as Sean would mostly be placed at the weakside backer position, I think it is reasonable for a game or two. Now the real question is whether or not Taylor is astute enough to grasp what is being asked of the linebackers with less than one week's preparation.
For some odd reason, even though Lavar is not playing on Monday, I have this sense of calm about the whole situation. Something just tells me that Gregg Williams will still find a way to take something away from the Cowgirls and get pressure on Vinny. The real question lies with the offense and who is under center. Time will tell.

Just look for more blitz schemes from the safety spot.

this is a BLITZ from any where type "D" so i agree with you.,on the safety spots(both)...also just because #56 is out i hope fans don't think that williams won't throw in a few rinkles to over ride the loss of #56 ...i think i read some where that barrow might see limited action monday night.

Actuallly Kelli Johnson spoke to Gregg Williams who said this will happen. (Ryan Clrk playing some at linebacker.)

yeah, leave Sean back at safety. He's still learning safety. We don't want him trying out linebacker...
Lemar is getting the start. Barrow will see some time as well. Gregg will compensate.

I agree Taylor should probably learn to master free saftey first.
But still it would be interesting to see him there.

Like I said, John RamboHall is the next Lawrence Taylor. We should let him play Middle Linebacker on short yardage situations.

Hey man, with Gregs Williams 'Exotic' defense, you just never know.
