They finally got through all the brainwashing that took place at the White House.

I REALLY wanted him to be a Redskin when he was a free agent. Him and Johnston.

Yeah, too bad that running game has stymied our offense

And our woeful passing game too:

Remember what a passing game looks like?

Perhaps an 80's flashback, huh? :D

And you guys gave up 7 years 40 plus million, a 8.6 mil signing bonus AND a 3rd round pick for Brunnel...

Have a nice day....

Cowboys (1-1) at Redskins (1-1)
I don’t think Dallas is as good as last season. And the Redskins certainly struggled last week in making seven turnovers.
Washington should rebound at home – it’s Monday night, against a rival, with Joe Gibbs back on the sidelines and Bill Parcells on the other side, and the city will be fired up.

The Cowboys are missing something. They are struggling with heightened expectations, and other teams aren’t overlooking them now. They haven’t improved, which in the NFL means you’re going backward.

The Redskins are a dangerous team.

Pick: Redskins >>>>> WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO TO HIM? BLACK MAIL IS ALL I CAN THINK OF. YOU GUYS HAVE PICTURES DON'T YA? :p

For those of you who think the Cowboys have no running game...

(BIG SIGH  ) How many yards did Baltimore, one of the best rushing teams in football, gain on the Cleveland Browns? 88....TOTAL

OK, now go to last Sunday...how many did Dallas have? 126 on 28 carries, for a 4.5 average with a long of 33 yards.

The only reason we had but 71 yards on the ground against Minnesota is because...now, don't be shocked...WE WERE BEHIND!!! THERE WAS NO POINT TO RUNNING THE FOOTBALL!

How can you be so ignorant as to say the Dallas Cowboys have no running game? Even without Julius Jones, this team, or any Parcells team for that matter, will run the F'ing ball. The only reason Vinny has thrown for 300+ thus far is out of necessity, due to the fact that we were having screwups on those long drives, NOT because we couldn't gain yards on the ground.

By comparison, let's have a look at the Redskins stats running the ball...

Dallas Washington
Rushes 47 67
Yards 197 274
Average 4.0 4.1

Now, take away Portis' 64 yard breakaway and you have this...66 attempts for 210 yards....at a 3.18 average.

Check.

And Mate.

PLEASE don't tell me you're counting the 33 yards your linebacker (Coakley) ran for?

How lame is that? A linebacker has your longest rush of the season.

If I have to take off Coakley's run, I get to take off Portis' too.

A run is a run. It's only fair :P

LOL Yep, fair is fair. Gonna have to scratch that 64 yard walk in the park against a bad Buc's team. LOL

I'm not sure I follow your logic there guys.

Why don't you also take Jones's yards out since he is injured?

Logic = if you want to take off one of mine, I take off one of yours.

What's difficult about that?

Portis is our running back. He will be in the game at running back.

What's difficult about that?

For your peace of mind, here is our average without Coakley
...

3.6 as compared to your 4.1 WITH the 64 yarder...not much of a difference.

Happy now?

I could care less. If I were you I'd be more concerned with our run defense, which has proved quite solid through two games, and even against the Giants, who have a far more talented and healthy RB squad.

Actually, I think the Cowboys have potential to have a running game.

Against Minnesota, IMO, we abandoned the running game way too early, and Parcells decided to let Vinny throw the ball alot more in the 2nd half. Reshard Lee looked fairly good when he had his opportunities, but if your Quarterback is lofting it up 50+ times, then the run stats are going to suffer.

Against the Browns, I think we displayed a nice run game but....

For some reason, we would pick up 4 yards on first down and throw 3 times the rest of the way. I didnt care too much for the play calling in last week's game down the stretch. All of Vinny's interceptions came in Browns' territory. Normally, when a Parcells team has a lead and it is late in the game, you usually see him run. He did this repeatedly with Troy Hambrick all last year. Vinny threw the ball about 35 times (as I stated 50 times last week), which throughout the offseason, Parcells said he didint want.

One of Vinny's interceptions came on 2nd and 9 deep in Browns territory.

As far as Novacek, I didnt see where he picked the Skins, but I wish I would have known that when I met him the other day :).

BTW, can we get the correct spelling of his name on the topic?
