OK Hogs...ready for some good old fashion smashmouth football? Let's be honest it's been a while since both the Boys and Hogs have had real coaches...well now we both have future HOFers. Can't get any better than this...

We are both coming off of shatty games and it's time to see who can pull it together and start to pull away in the NFC east (screw the Iggles)...of course the Boys will dominate the line of scrimmage in this epic reunion, thus us marching up and down the field. I can't wait for Portis to meet Roy...really he is a nice guy.

Nothing like some light trash talk to get the fans fired up for this game. Can't wait!

Now C'mon...Gmen got your tongue.

You guys will bounce back...get your heads up...not this week, but maybe the week after. Think positive guys.

I am hoping for a good well-played Redskins - Cowboys game. So many times during that streak we had it won and blew it or made mistakes that cost us a shot. I hope the team wakes up from that debacle on Sunday, get's fired up and shows up ready to play. We gotta get that 91,000 rocking again.

I'll tell ya what's exciting about this...is that this is what I hope to be the begining of a renewed rival with well coached teams.

We are one year closer to what Parcells is trying to create...Gibbs will need another year or so to get you guys back, but I have no doubts he will. You guys have some talent, but you need work with your trench workers...that will be your uphill battle this year. Next year I see many d-line and o-line upgrades for you guys...when that happens I will be more nervous.

I thought with our schedule and the inherent splits Gibb's almost always had in the division, we could go as high as 10-6. I will not panic over the game sunday. Adversity is what Gibbs and co do best. They have already convinced the players that there is no way they can beat the Cowboys unless they play there hearts out.

We have some vocal guys on defense (Smoot, Springs, Arrington) to get the chemistry up and the players fired up on defense. We need someone on offense to step up into that role. My boy Jansen was trying to fill that role before he was hurt.

I will stand by my 10-6 for now. This will be our first test Monday night. The Giants game was a fluke. Even bad teams don't have 7 turnovers. The skins were thinking about Dallas because everyone read all week how the Giants were pushovers and we overlooked them, plain and simple.

I am expecting an excellent game Monday, win or lose.

Losing Jansen was a huge blow to your O-line...to bad.

Gibbs is already a HOF coach...Parcells won't be, without the brains of the operation (Belichick).

I hope Romo is staying loose, because he'll be needed when Arrington knocks Vinny so hard, he'll think he's still playing in Tampa.

Skins 24
Dallass 13

Don't mis-judge Parcells...he is for real without Belichick. I will say I think Belichick is the best coach in the NFL right now...However Parcells knows how to put a team together and get them to perform.

You will see a very solid game from the Boys Monday...both offense and defense.

My sig line holds baby...

I want all of you to duly note that the last post before this one kicked off the trash talk...

That said, I like this matchup. Two of the greatest coaches ever head to head for the first time since '92 (Belichick is NOTHING without Parcells, don't you forget that...he doesn't get lucky with Tom Brady, he's just a great defensive guy...remember Cleveland? keep that in mind  Ironically, the only reason Tom Brady fell to the 6th round was because he was beat out at Michigan by...ta daaaa..Drew Henson :D ...but I digress...)LaVar is one scary dude, but I think if we send some pulling guards and keep the blocks going (Watch out for Keyshawn  ), he will get his hits in, but the damage should be minimal. Vinny has got to stop the 'rookie mistakes' he made on Sunday. Without Jules, we have to hope Eddie George was just getting started last week. There's hope since he got 64 against a team that held Jamal Lewis to___ (Someone fill that in for me, Too lazy to look it up) ReShard Lee, he had better hope that this big chance does not pass him by. I'm not worried about the passing game, so long as Vinny plays like he did in the first half, and not the second. Defensively, I dont want to be accused of arrogancy, but I'm not that worried about it. The only problem is creating pressure, but I think Zimmer is going back to the blitz package this week. I still like the Newman vs. Coles matchup. Coles will get some catches, but I don't think he will burn us.

Final score; Dallas 21 Washington 17...close game, but remember, as much as you may think you need it, we need it just the same if not more. :)

I think this is going to be a hard fought game that could go down to the last possession of the game. 2 legends go at it again, 2 teams trying to regain their stoic pasts. Hopefully the rivalry is back and the series becomes what it once was…. the beasts of the East battling it out for the division. That being said I don’t see anyone holding anything back. Full out smash mouth football from 2 teams who need the win to keep up with the fecals and if nothing else for some early season R E S P E C T.

If the 'Boys can protect VT it could be a long night for the skins. Hopefully the run game can keep your Defense honest and on its toes (fingers crossed). Arrington worries me but not to the point of nightmares, hopefully it stays that way. I don't see the your receivers being able to really stretch the field vertically with much success even with our suspect DB’s. Portis will be the difference, especially with Ramsey starting at QB. He doesn’t seem to be playing with much confidence from what I saw last weekend. I'm VERY curious as to see how Portis fairs in the East, not only Monday but as the season wears on. We seem to hit a little harder then they do in the AFC West.

All in all I look forward to a great game

Redskins 24 Cowboys 10, Dallas doesn´t has a running game and Vinny is to old to beat the number one defense.

THE RAM will play pretty good with two td´s and 0 int´s.

#1 defense...please get over yourselves. What's gonna be sad for you all is when old man Vinnie has a stellar game with three TD's....you will be scrathing your heads...still saying...but, but, but we had the #1 defense how could this have happened. C'mon be real.

Hey, we had the #1 Offense last year at this time. Fat lot of goo d that did Quincy Carter and the others, huh?

'Skins 17, Pies 14. Vinny left to scratch his head and ask, "didn't they do this to me LAST year, too?"

Seriously...do you have any doubts he will not be???

It will be secured when we play in the SB next year and get #6!!!

You're right, JSPB22. I mean, Neon Deion is constantly called "future hall of famer" by the likes of Berman & co., while so many other more worthy candidates will never make it.

I think that Parcells does deserve it, I don't care if he goes 3-13 for the next 4 seasons. He also is well publicized by the media, the key ingredient to getting in--almost more than really playing all that well.

Sad, but true.
I'm not sure the Tuna deserves to be inducted, yes he has 2 SB victories, and taken 4 teams to the playoffs, but what has he done to change the game? Don't even get me started on Deion. I'm just glad he is trying to make this comeback, so the voters can get 5 more years of perspective on him before he gets a knee-jerk induction.

Yeah, here's hoping that he sticks around for more than one season trying to make a difference, and that his awful performance wakes up enough voters to reality.

And perhaps they'll also realize, "hey, why in the world is Monk not in yet?!?"

And then maybe the Redskins will win a superbowl. Then another. Then another.

Ahh, pleasant dreams. All of them. (And another.)

Hey FanfromAnnapolis you are the man! Finally someone brings the right name to this thred!

Talking about Art, Can we bring him back to play again?

no, no and no...

Don't bring up the HOF argument. Yes, I agree Monk should be in but for every Skin you think deserves to go, I can name two Cowboys that should go over him (Maybe with the exception of Monk  )

It's a dead horse. Trust me, Monk will get in eventually...well before Bullet Bob Hayes ever does
