Assuming Brunell can play, who do you want our QB to be against the Cow-turds?

I'm posting this not to stir up any (who is our best QB) debate. I simply want to get the pulse of the fans right now.

i still like ramsey, but brunell is the obvious choice. he either needs to get it in gear, or get packing, because i'm not impressed with his play thus far. (ramsey either for that matter)

1. Brunnell

2. Hasselback

Ramsey should carry the clip board, practice, and learn.

I voted for RAMSEY!

OMG!!!

Yea, I voted for him. Hailskins is the reason why... Now. I still think the boy is dumb as a brick but I think we need a QB who can stretch the defense a bit more. They were bringing the safeties to stop Clinton because they knew 2 things would happen.

Brunell wouldn't be able to get the ball to Coles.
or
Garder would drop it.

Now for Ramsey...

He makes a lot of mistakes but he was put in a bad position. Regardless of my anger outburt earlier, I'll give Ramsey another chance. Maybe in a controlled situation where he isn't forced to throw every down with 1 min left, he'll be able to make some better decisions.

Really, I dont want any of them. LOL.
Brunall is great, but he may be hindering CP to a small extent.

2. Hasselback
ROTFALMAO right.
how soon we forget. the last time timmie played the pukes at home his QB rating was a 0.0! a 0.0! he's really a stud let me tell ya.

Brunell give us the best chance to win next week

I'm abstaining from this vote right now. Brunell has better QB instincts and doesn't make as many mistakes, but he has no arm for the deep ball, and has consistantly thrown behind receivers this season. Ramsey has a strong arm, but will make the foolish throw, or take the sack, rather than throwing the ball away. Hasselbeck might be the best choice, but it is hard to put your faith in someone with so little experience. It's a tough call for the coach.

So far, Ramsey has shown that he has a strong arm, he can't spot the right receiver, he can't move, he reacts a couple of steps behind the game. That's not winning football.

Maybe he will eventually learn how to play at this level, but he has never shown it.

How is he better than Heath Shuler?

Right now, Ramsey reminds me of:

(a) the Caps Chris Simon, who was big, tough, strong, took a good shot, but who always seemed about 1-second behind the other players on the ice.

(b) Jay Schroeder the year after he made pro-bowl, when he began to hyperventilate.

but you still want 0.0 in as number 2?

Yep. With Gibbs coaching, the Dirt Bags blocking, and Portis running. Or Betts. The coaching, organization, leadership, preparation, and attitude are different under Gibbs. I think Hasselback is closer to being an adequate NFL QB than Ramsey.

Yes, Hasselback doesn't look to be better than a dependable number 2, and Ramsey has a strong arm. But it takes a lot more than an arm to win in the NFL -- otherwise, Jeff George, Vinny Testaverde, and Norm Snead would all be waiting for or already in the Hall of Fame.

(On the other side, neither Joe Montana nor Bart Starr were better than "medium" throwers, but both knew how to find the right receiver and complete the pass.)

I want Brunnell to start, but I think Hasselback is more ready to play in the NFL than Ramsey right now.

ROTFALMAO lame duck on anything over 20 yds hassellbeck? ROTFALMAO and please don't ever compare 0.0 to montana or starr. i'll bet niether of those two ever had a rating that crappy against a division rival.

No. Point is: (a) a strong arm gets a QB no better than Testaverde. Ramsey has yet to show that he is more than another Vinny. And (b) QB's with average arms can be successful. That doesn't mean that Hasselback is Montana or Starr, but that the arm-strength doesn't matter as much as quick and correct actions. Oh, and (c) Spurrier was a good coach for amateur teams, but he was outclassed against Parcells and Reid; things are different under Gibbs. For that matter, (d) statistics don't matter much.

i'm not saying ramsey is god. but i am saying that i'm glad TH is a third stringer. if he's so good, why did it take him four years to crack a roster spot?

I still saw some major technique and decision-making flaws in Ramsey's game. Can't hold on to the ball as long as he did -- which led to 2 of the 3 picks.

i've got to go with ramsey. though i like brunell's mobility, his arm is never going to stretch defenses. hell, we all saw the same game - the safeties kept creeping up to the line of scrimmage. despite ramsey's 3 ints i found that the skins had a much better offensive rhythm than in the 6 + quarters of brunell under center. however, i would be surprised to see patrick starting next week against dallas.

I WOULD vote for Ramsey but I hate that team in Texas, and P-Ram is stillmaking the same mistakes he was making last year.. these errors in judgement can cost us the game. Mark Burnell is not showing me what I expected to see from him, but he's all we have at this time. Ramsey may be ready later in the season but not right now. Hassleback is a good number 3 but that's all he is at this time.
Someone must explain to me how do you rate a 0.0 in any game and who did he have pick up his paycheck for him

I am not voting. Sorry JH. I just don't know what is right for the team at this point. I do however believe that Joe Gibbs and the coaching staff will make the best call here. I want PRam to start but that is for selfish reasons! ;-) I'll cheer for who ever plays! ;-)

Hmmm... I think we should calm down a bit, considering it was only 1 game. I also don't think we can blame just one player for this collapse. The whole offense, in my opinion, just gave the game away to the Giants. Kudos to the D for keeping it close. They only gave up 1 td. TD's offense gave up this season:2 Defense:1 (off of a turnover)

Ramsey! The only way he's going to stop throwing ints is if he plays, I'd rather lose a couple of games now to let him adjust then wait till later in the season to put him in, then we will have to wait for him to adjust then! Besides the ints he moved the ball pretty good. If he starts now, that can set us up for a nice 2nd half to our season!

Ramsey is too scared about getting hit, if he feels pressure, he just throws it away. Hasselbeck is better than Ramsey because he really has nothing to play for so hed just go in there and probably do good.

I agree welch. I believe Brunell should start and Hasselbeck needs to move to the #2 spot. Ramsey sucks.

That's an excellent question. One reason is because we're wasting our time with Ramsey. Hasselbeck could get better if he practiced with the starters more. Hasselbeck should be the one getting primed for a future starting job, not Ramsey. If not Hasselbeck, I suggest drafting a QB next year.
