You mama told you there'd be days like this...would you feel better if we had lost on a last second field goal...a loss is a loss no more no less.
I can't believe some of the things I'm hearing …comparisons of Joe Gibbs to Spurrier??....Sit back and watch a real coach , your about to learn a lesson in accountability. This is not Spurrier or Turner we're talking about… it's Joe Gibbs.
Gentlemen it's Dallas week!!

I don't ever recall seeing a Redskin team have 7 turnovers in one game. The defense played an excellent game. The offense never bothered to show up. Ramsey should be the starting QB. He wasn't perfect, but at least he can move the team. Not sure what Brunell's problem is, but he's looked like a friggin' rookie the last 2 games.
I agree

DEHog is right. It will be a lesson for all players to watch Joe in action this week.
I really would have wanted to support P Ramsey next week but I can't. I do not know what the heck he was thinking and he did nothing to inspire my confidence today. Joe will put the best team on the field against Dallas. I know that for sure.

You're Right DE....The coaches will whip them into shape. I'm just glad Jake had to go to work so I don't have to listen to him all night. He is soooooooooooo ticked off. And I think we should activate Darnerien and sit Gardner. I'm soooo afraid when they throw the ball to him - you just never know !!! Yes...it's Dallas Week and I'm scared...but hoping....and praying we'll be ready. This has been a "mental" thing for us the last several years....hopefully we'll be over it and come away with a win. I know it's a lot easier to go to work on Tuesday after a Monday nite game and no sleep if we win the dang game.

I don't want to breathe. I want to kill. I want to kill Rod Gardner.
He doesn't need to be whipped into shape he needs to be benched. Danny needs to demote him to pee wee football so that he can learn how to catch.

and that bothers me. if we weren't ready for a crapy NY team, theres no way we'll be ready for dallass.

I hate to concede but this is fact. It's great to have Coach Gibbs to try to get us ready but it is going to be very difficult to get offense on Mon night if we play the same.

Guys, Coles dropped siz, yes, six, balls today.

Gardener and Coles both had their problems today. Portis too. Are we supposed to bench everyone? Gardener did have the best catch of his career today. We have to keep positive. A game like this couldn't have come at a better time. Gibbs will work these guys silly this week, and they will be pumped on Monday night. Remember, Dallas didn't look so hot today either. Vinny threww for over 300 yards, but he threw 3 INT's and only 1 TD. The difference between Gibbs and Parcells is that Gibbs fixes the problems, while Parcells dwells on them, and doesn't let his players forget them. Vinny will be thinking way too much next week after Parcells rides him about his INT problems all week. He'll stay in the pocket just a little longer, and Greg Williams will have him battered and bruised.

This is freaking ridiculous. This is one week out of 16 ladies and gentlemen. As DE said, take a deep breath. Every team has days like this where they can do no right. Everyone just take a chill pill. We can't cut the whole team over one week.
The Giants deserve credit for this win in one respect...they clogged up the box and forced Brunell to beat them with the passing game. He is 2 games into a new system, and his arm doesn't seem to have much left in it thus far. No running game and no passing game = no game at all.
Everyone on offense made mistakes today. It happens. Let's not throw the whole season away because of one loss. It hurts to lose to the Giants like this...a team in turmoil...a team with a coach they hate. Everyone (including the players) thought the was a gimme . That's why we played like we did Sunday. Ramsey made a few good plays and a few bad, Gardner made a few good plays and some key bad ones. Portis carried the ball like it was a kid with a poopy diaper and fumbled, but he also played harder than anyone else on offense. He blocked extremely well (except the block that knocked Dockery off the block that allowed the GIants to force a fumble) and he made a nice catch in the back of the end zone.
It's over, it sucks, but there is no time to think about it. Coach Gibbs and staff will work on it this week. That is the difference. Spurrier did nothing to adjust. He game planned based on the weather instead of the opponent. He thought you didn't have to coach these guys because they were professionals. That crap is over. Everyone cheer up and let's look forward to the game the team was looking forward to yesterday. Let's beat those 'Pies.

It's back to basics time gang. After a game like that, that's all you can do. We have a strong "D", and we WILL get back on track with the "O". Mark my words.
Oh - great post JansenFan!!

Well said JansenFan
As said before..... we need to focus on Dallas, playing and beating Dallas is more than just the standard football game, it's the most important game to a Redskins player and fan.
Everyone made mistakes yesterday and all the players and fans need to realize that but not focus on it, we need to focus on fixing the problems (and you all know Gibbs will) and stomping Dallas...... just take it one week at a time.

Jansenfan's got it right. Plus, in a weird way I'd rather face Dallas after a tough loss than at 2-0 when we still have a lot to work on. This week, the coaches will focus harder than ever and the team will be ready to roll on MNF. You can't judge a team 2 games into the season in this league. There were many negatives but the D played well, they fought hard but unfortunately, they have a lot to fine tune. It's a tough loss and I'm pissed but it's early, they're still learning and we have the best coaching staff possible. A Spurrier coached team would have rolled over - we were in it until the end with 7 turnovers. That says a lot... We'll be more ready for Dallas than we would have without this loss.
