Does anyone have DirectV. I have it and the sunday NFL Ticket and the game is not on. All phone calls get a busy signal. Can anyone tell me what is going on PLEASE?

Sorry cj. I don't know what the deal is. I'd keep trying to get Direct TV on the phone.

If you live in any area where the game is being broadcast on the Fox affiliate, your DirecTV will be blacked out.

Can someone please explain the whole blackout thing for me. Why not just televise every game?

Is it that they don't want to detract from Fox's or CBS's ratings by playing a local game?

That's it exactly. Not so much the ratings (since hardly anyone actually has one of them Nielsen boxes anyhow) but more a case of exclusivity for the broadcast station.

I got the game on two channels 708 and 713 i think. it may of been blackedout in your area. I live charlottsville V.A. so i dont know

Thats not true because i got the on Fox to. I had on 3 channels and none were blacked out
