Lil' Deion

When the Redskins held training camp in 2000, many of the players family members could be seen down by the tents and artificial turf field. Jeff George's pregnant wife and kids were there. But right before practice completed, Deion Sanders' son (Lil' Deion) was walking up the sidewalk in full regalia. He had his game pants, Deion jersey, and his Jesus bandana (the same one Deion posed in for the cover of the 2000 team yearbook.)

Ok, I probably wasn't going to get Deion's autograph so I might as well as for his son's. I asked him if he would sign my hat. He was reluctant to sign autographs. Then his sister (Deiondra, on the right with the 'Biblemon' t-shirt) convinced him to sign for us. She said "if you sign for him, you have to sign for everybody." He wasn't too happy. Deiondra said that he always had to practice his handwriting (he hated it) and thought that signing autographs was apart of the practice. He still signed my hat and for several other people. He was pretty cool about everything.

That second picture he looks like he has captured his father's attitude perfectly. Wonder if he's all suited up at Raven's training camp this year??
