No Gibran Hamdan on the practice squad....not too surprised, considering Spurrier was the only one to think he was any good...but certainly notable. Any others that weren't signed to the practice squad that you find interesting?

me too...I love Gibran....stinks he didn't even get a snap in preseason...obviously THAT was already decided weeks ago.

I loved what I saw of Hamdan in NFL Europe. He's still a long way from being ready to start for someone, but I think he has NFL talent.

As for why he wasn't named to the practice squad, I'm guessing it comes down to two factors. One, they don't think anyone else will sign him and he'll be there later in the season if we need him and, two, in the short-term you could always use Tupa as an emergency third quarterback.

Does anyone know what high school Gibran went to? I think it was O'Connell in Arlington? Would be interesting to know....

Just curious: Does anybody have an idea how often a guy from the practice squad makes it onto the full roster? Is it a common thing or pretty rare?

I really like Sultan McCullough - glad that he's still with the Redskins.
