The Eagles have completed the difficult task of trimming the roster down to the final 53 players.
With all the talent the Eagles took into training camp, there were some surprises as the final cuts were made. Linebacker Jason Short proved that hard work and perseverance pays as he made the final roster after spending part of 2003 on the practice squad.

Running back Dorsey Levens, who was signed to help replace Correll Buckhalter, did not do enough to impress the coaches. He, along with last year's special teams MVP Sean Morey, were released.
Short, a former Eastern Michigan standout, played running back and linebacker in the AFL2 in 2002. He played for the NFL Europe's Barcelona Dragons last spring. The Eagles signed Short in February after he spent the end of 2003 on the team's practice squad.
Levens had 12 carries for 37 yards against the New York Jets on Friday night. It was his first and only action of the preseason. Levens would have been entering his 11th NFL season.
