Coach Wiiliams is gonna make teams miserable.....

The first play of the game showed that. A doble CB blitz made Vick crumble. Get used to seeing these type of plays happen. Our Defense should be very successfull this year. We have the talent base and the coaches in place to really stir things up for even the "better" Offenses in the league. Man, its gonna be a great year!

This defense will give teams a fit. I just pray that with our aggresive scheme, we go light on the injuries.

I saw that and my eyes bugged out. It would appear that after four "practice games" (he he) everyone -- coaches, players, et al. -- had gotten very bored with vanilla!
Maybe the frustration of the poor showing in St. Louis caused JJG to turn to page 3 of the playbook!

I love the aggressiveness. All those years watching the Jaguars under Coughlin with the "bend but don't break" scheme; augh...nothing worse than slow agonizing death.
The Skins have some playmakers; letting them play is the right way to go!

Teams will know that we will be blitzing a lot this year, but what they won't know is from where and how many. Our d-unit may put quite a few points this year and if the O is also clicking the return to glory is right around the corner

or will it be coming from the corners

I hope so.
I really don't understand why Williams would show such plays in teh preseason. Most good defenses just stay vanilla, why not show anything all preseason, and then give future opponets for film in a meaningless game.

He is showing a lot of schemes in pre-season becuase he wants opp DC's to have to prepare for everything.

Um, I gotta tell you. That makes NO SENSE. If a team shows NO variety to their defense, then opposing teams have to prepare for everything.
When a DC (like Williams did) shows actual defensive sets. Then opposing teams have something to prepare for.

So you're bent out of shape that he showed one blitz that he may never use again?

A CB blitz is nothing special, fancy or hard to do. Thats not a play specific to our team. You have nothing to worry about.

Does anyone remember when we played Buffalo last year???? 24-7 loss, 119 passing yards, 56 rushing yards & 1 forced fumble! I'm glad we can laugh at that now AND I'm glad he's on OUR side!

I think that by finally allowing Arrington to play weak side LB, we're gonna see something special.

Coach Williams is a great coordinator not neccessarily a great head coach, if he does well this year I hope he sticks around. Plus I wanna see him get the best out of TAYLOR and McCune.

Well maybe Im in the minority but I think I'd like to see him handed the reigns after Gibbs tenure. Hopefully Gibbs is building a strong foundation in his offense and allowing Williams to learn and master it before he leaves. That way he won't have to build an offense, he'll just have to maintain one thats successful and already in place. I wouldn't be shocked to see Gibbs take on a lesser role.

Interesting thought, how old is Williams anyway. Defensive genius...
Anyways, the double CB blitz last pre-season against ATL, WOW. After the 1st Qtr. I thought we were going to the SuperBowl we looked so good. Our D was so great I was scared for Vicks life.
