wonder what it's like being a pukes fan and seeing the Giants above the Pukes after the Giants went 4-12 and the Pukes went 10-6 last year :)

agreed - but isn't he a Puke Cuke?

I just wonder where the experts are that Puke fans keep referencing that are picking the Pukes doing as well and/or better than they did last year... most are saying worse with their problems and harder schedule, not to mention stiffer competition in Washington and New York...

I really can't figure out why everyone is so high on Seattle. Sure they've got a weak division to beat up on, but did they really improve that much over last year compared to the rest of the NFL?

confused here. thought my 'boys were the "pies?" now they're the "pukes?" why?

i like new orleans to surprise some people this year.

not really worried about SI picks. my guess is that they didn't think much of the 'boys prior to last year. tougher schedule, better defense, POTENTIAL for better offense

No, Dr. Disease is a serious Giants homer. He has no love for the 'Pies, but he does like them better than the 'Skins, whom he hates with a passion. Must be from when we trounced them regularly in his youth.

Did anyone else notice that the 'Skins were conspicuously absent from Don Banks burning questions piece? He must not have any question in his mind that the 'Skins are solid all around.

What is Dr. Z thinking? Putting the Lions ahead of the Skins. I know the lions have young potential, but key word potential. No one knows if Harrington is the real deal yet.

And what are the Skins, if not potentially improved?

The reason the Hawks are gaining praise is because they had the 6th ranked offense last season even after a pretty slow start. They are under ray rhodes for a 2nd season, and they added Bobby Taylor and Grant Wistrom. Nobody finished the last half of the Season stronger than Hasselbeck. Not to mention, Jackson and Robinson dropped a lot of balls last season, which was pretty unusual for them. The Hawks offense is gonna be top 3 this season, and their defense should be top 10. They have a legitimate shot at the Superbowl this season.

Personally, My pick for the Superbowl this season is Baltimore over Seattle. Hate to put Balt in there, but that's how I see it. That is of course unless Peion screws it up somehow lol.

Ah, now it makes sense. I don't see Bobby Taylor making a really big impact for them, but I guess their offense will be able to keep pace with anybody.

they also got grant wistrom, and that should be a bit of an upgrade. and it should help taylor a bit too.

Putting us just one spot ahead of the Dolphins? What is it with these jerks at SI? We've improved in coaching, at the RB position, starting a QB with playoff experience, improved coaching (did I mention that we have coaches this year that are ALMOST GODS compared to the travesty we've had in the past?), and we only warrant a spot one ahead of a team that has just lost the biggest part of their offense, who have a "journeyman" QB AT BEST, and who will be forced to rely on their defense to try to keep the games close? I really think that SI needs to hire some un-biased writers (can't hire me, I bleed burgundy & gold) and give the readers a fair and reasoned view of what is going on in the NFL... but as long as they are not going to do that, keep on ranking the 'Skins low, so that everyone overlooks 'em and gets the surprise of their life when the 'Skins take the field and whup 'em!!!
