Wow! I'm shocked.
One thing about Pace. I bought my Sporting News 2004 Draft Preview and in the back, there are mini 2004 season previews for every team. There are pics of 1 player for every team page and on Arizona's page was Calvin Pace. I thought to myself "Man, what a bum, he sucks." Then I noticed how in-shape the guy was. I was really amazed.
The point is, at least he has a strong work ethic in the weight room. I'd take a chance on him to see if he has an on-the-field work ethic that is just as strong.
Damn, Denny Green is really cleaning house.

PACE GETTING DUMPED BY DENNY?
A league insider tells us that Cardinals defensive end Calvin Pace, a first-round pick in 2003, is in danger of not making the final roster in Arizona.
Denny Green, per the source, "is still busting ass" in Cardinals land. Pace has an injury history and a perceived attitude problem.
So as Green continues to put his thumbprint on the franchise, look for Pace to possibly get thrown under the bus.

You didn't post a link. You just posted a piece of the article. He hasn't been released. He's supposedly in danger of being relased but it's from Profootballtalk.com. As I always say, take from that site what you will because it's not the most reliable place for info.

Man we sure could use some help on the D line. Sign him for the minimum if he gets cut.

Wow, I wasn't so sure that they pool would be flooded with halfway decent D-linemen, I guess I was wrong.

Maybe we should make a bid for this guy, get him cheap and base any additional money on incentives. Hopefully he'll perform decently and he'll perform better next year.
