Madden 2005.........WOW!

I didn't think it would be as good as it is! I finally bought it a few nights ago and I've played the living crap out of it. The Tony Bruno radio show, the real super bowl celebration, the complete deal....wow!
Taylor, Rock,

ey all are awesome on there which kinda suprised me. Micheal Barrow wants to be traded because "yours truely"

took his spot at MLB. Of course, I got MVP, Rookie of the year,LB of the year....yada,yada,yada. Then again, I had to soop up my own man. Afterall, it had Steve Hendrickson (Me) in the Newspapers on it

, winning the MVP.
The game is hands down the best! FINALLY a game that has a real celebration at the end, the gatorade dumped on Gibbs by Brunell and Portis, Fireworks....shoot, even the grand entrance to the game (super bowl)is life like. Taylor won the Super Bowl MVP with 3 picks a FF and 7 tackles against the Pats. I won 51-3. Was pissed off about the field goal too I might add

I thaught I had the shutout
Each year I bought it "the day" it came out until this year. I finally purchased it Monday night and I can't believe how good it is. I thaught last year's was great, but this is awesome.
Folks if you don't own this .......BUY IT! Now all I need to get is the "on-line" packet ...have no idea how much it costs but it will be my next toy.

Dayum near total control of the defense kicks but. Also the email, and newspaper thing is tight, and the abilty to check the status of players and see how they are doing is nice too.
Good Job Madden 2005

Am I alone in my frustration with the kicking game? How are you guys handling it?

Im sorry guys but the newspaper and Tony is total crap and sucks!!! Its alright if you haven't seen ESPN's presentation. On Madden you get a radio, ESPN you get TV.
Now was far as gameplay and the franchise, Madden does rule.[/quote]

A few things I really want to be changed on Madden.
- I want FedEx Field to be realistic. Why is there one tunnel on one and and one on the other? There should be two on one end! It's been like that for the past few seasons of Madden.
- They should have "Hail to the Redskins" play when we score at home.
- Why is the helmet still on when you try to create a player's face?
- Why are the back of most players shoulder pads big enough to hide their neck?
Other than those comments and a few that I can't think of right now, it's pretty good. I only run a couple of plays a game with a no huddle and I crush my opponents badly.
Two more things, Fred Smoot and Andre Lott are terrors on kickoffs! They are friggin sweet! I love the way the defense just crushes opponents with those smashmouth hits! I don't even have to use the Hit Stick.

I love this game. The only, however that I don't like is how the playbook is not built around gibbs. ESPN has Gibbs down perfect.
I guess I could create my own playbook, like I did last year, but there are not enough plays. So either I have a real Gibbs playbook, or I hurt my self, because there are not enough plays.
What can I do with 78 plays, I need at least 120-150.
But besides that I think it is perfect. The Tony Bruno show, is good, but Chris Berman is better.
Gameplay is better than espn, but the graphics on Espn, might be a little better.
But the main thing that seperates the two is how madden rated us. Espn, only gave McCants, like a 68 and Taylor a 80. On madden McCants is 79, and Taylor is a 85.
By the way, does any body know how to unlock Deion Sanders, I don't get the updated rosters on XBOX so I need to unlock him change his ratings, and put on the ravens.

Exactly. Madden lost a lot of points with me on this. ESPN has Gibbs plays down. You can simulate the plays on Madden, but with a lot work.

Exactly! There is no comparision.

ESPN's graphics on X-Box are unmatched. And if you see the PS2 versions side by side, its like night and day.
Yet Madden does have the "better" gameplay. Which is just preference.
But the main thing that seperates the two is how madden rated us. Espn, only gave McCants, like a 68 and Taylor a 80. On madden McCants is 79, and Taylor is a 85.
I think this is accurate. Madden and ESPN have different ranking systems. If you think about it, in the game theres no difference. Across the board people are ranked the same in Madden, and the same goes for ESPN. Its not like the Skins are ranked low in ESPN everynoe is. Its really the same, kinda, but I do prefers maddens.
Two more things, Fred Smoot and Andre Lott are terrors on kickoffs! They are friggin sweet!
Thanks for the tip, Jake.

No you are not. I usually handle it by throwing the controller and cursing a lot.

I've got my X-Box on pro mode with 6-minute quarters...can't kick to save my life, lol...have only failed to hit 100 yards rushing once with CP, and that was against the Texans (go figger). The defense's ability to stuff the runner IMO is way too good, especially coming from teams who couldn't stuff a paper bag full of groceries, let alone CP coming at em full tilt, meh.

They changed the kick meter this year. Its not as clear as it used to be. I got used to it though.
Anyone else play 7 min. qtrs on all-madden? That stats are kinda realistic.
