Ed is not stacking up thus far and he has better players to work with.

Yeah, but there's that tiny little detail: he's had all of six NFL games as coordinator--if we're willing to wait as Ramsey learns, the least we can do is be patient with George Edwards.

One other little thing is, excuses can only take you so far and results will take you all the way :up: :up: Agree with that.

I don't consider patience an excuse for a 1st year defensive coordinator. From your comment I suppose you'd rather have him fired right now....6 games in?

?????Maybe???? but as stated in my post around the board. he has to adjust. Their is noway we should be getting beat short. How many teams week after week gets beat short?????

Yeah and if he is not careful DS will do that and bring in some experience and then I will open up a thread called I told you so. :up:

The thread would be as laughable as the move if DS pulled it at this point. We tried that in the past and Lewis did well but overall those jump the gun decisions were a disaster.

Yeah what is funny Is that when DS brought in Marvin we were 20th overall a nd when he left we were 5th. Now that is funny ROTFALMAO

I miss Ray Rhodes ::sniffle::

Ray Rhodes was and is still proving to be a great top notch Coordinator look at Seattle. Dont get me wrong Ed will have to adjust if he wants to stay with the Skins. His audition thus far is not impressive, for us or futre employment.

we should have never hired Marvin....he just held us back a year from being where we need to be....he had one foot out the door the moment he was hired and kept the team divided and confused on who their leader should have been.

btw...I miss Ray too. :cry:

Rhodes didn't do too much magic in Denver but it would be great if we still had him (shame on Marty there). All those years to build on....he has proved successful everywhere he was given time.

Lewis made us top 5 D so its hard to argue with that but good point TX Hog. Not having the extra years together and lack of chemistry has been killing us. That's why GE needs more time.

Lewis most certainly didn't bring us from cellar-dwellers to a top 5 defense. He inherited one that was close. Ray Rhodes brought us from 30th out of 31 teams to the No. 4 defense in 2000. Kurt Schottenheimer had us at No. 10 in 2001. Marvin Lewis took us back up five notches in 2002.

Five notches is what we look for in a Defensive Coordinator.
