The-Hogs.net - Washington Football Discussion, Redskins to Commanders Era

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away I posted a response to a THEHOGS.NET message board thread stating something like: "If the Skins start out at 4-3, considering their schedule this year, I would be very happy."

That being said, I think this is a nice rebound week for the Skins. They will be facing a Bills team that has seemed to lose its running game somewhat. The passing game is also hurting a little...and the team just got creamed by the Jets!

Enter the Redskins..... a team coming off two tough losses against two very good NFC teams.

Hopefully, the Redskins can find a way to play pass defense without Smoot (if necessary) this week. We might also see the Redskins playing with the 3-4 defense a little more this week!

I am expecting (and praying for) a Skins win:

Bills: 13
Redskins: 27

Note: For those of you waitin' for the Skins to open up a 6-pack of "whoop ass", I think this will be the week.

ONE FINAL THOUGHT. CALL IT KARMA....CALL IT POETIC....BUT MY GUT TELLS ME THAT BRUCE SMITH IS GONNA GET THE SACK RECORD THIS WEEK....AGAINST THE TEAM HE PLAYED FOR ALL OF THOSE YEARS!!! YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!

I heard Smoot will be out 3-4 weeks with a bruised chest. Washington Times - saw it on ESPN.

Hope I am wrong.

The NFL has actually made arrangements to stop the game if Bruce gets the record.

Now that alone would put a damper on the Bills' parade.

Offense is going to play well
Defense is going to dominate--I see Buffalo scoring it's final points after the game is pretty much out of reach and the Defense plays off to kill the clock--Remember, Buffalo's offense is lack luster with only 2.5 yards per rush and an offensive line whose given up alot of sacks (if im not mistaken the Bills have aloud the most sacks behind the Redskins--if not right behind the skins, they are right up there)
