Should we get Brackens?

Tony Brackens was just cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is a solid defensive end and I believe he would greatly improve our pass rush. Do you guys think the 'Skins will pick him up?

No, man. His knees are shot. He's an IR waiting to happen.

Older, injured D Lineman with and expensive price tag? Not sure thats a good idea unless he passes a physical. Besides we haven't seen our starting Dline yet with the injuries, it may not be that bad.

Nope I'm quite happy with our D right now!

I live near Jacksonville, and for the last four years Brackens has been hurt every year. Thats why The Jag's cut him. Don't even consider him. He's big but always hurt. :o

Why would we sign a re-tread like Brackens? The guy is broken down.

He's hurt now hasn't practiced since the first week of camp. he says he should be able to practice later this week but the Jags break camp on Tuesday.

We didn't pick him up before camp started and he was a free agent Hopefully he's not on our radar now. I think it would be a bad move

Old? I thought he was only 29. I think if the 'Skins can get him to sign for the minimum, he would be a nice addition to the team, and could be used on passing downs or to give the starters a breather.

Young versus old talent

No, I would not take him.

Why do we not look for a young, hard-working guy and groom him under the current starters?

Whera are our scouts after all???

I think we should sign him and just let him play until he breaks the sack record, even if it's detrimental to the team....oh, wait a minute. I think I am in the wrong thread.

personally - as one person who was hoping for more defensive line help - I would say that if we could sign him at minimums or near minimum... why not?

I personally don't see the need to sign him to any big contracts with his knees

I must say that in the first three games, the defensive line has proven somewhat solid considering all the shuffling going on out there :)

I agree SKR, and I think we look pretty decent in the preseaon games. Our starters have held our opponents starters and we should have won that Carolina game. Our guys have not played together yet, so....

SKR where have you been?? :D Welcome back man :D
