Ramsey Vs. Brunell

I don't know what to say,but I want Ramsey in there.
Lately (subconsciously) I've wanted Brunell to do lousy just so Ramsey can get the job.
I feel really bad about that, cause I like Brunell personally, but Ramsey's youthful energy is much more hopeful.
Let's face it,Brunell did not look THAT good last year in Jax.
So,who should be in Ramsey or Brunell?
I'm voting Ramsey,so it's:
Ramsey-1
Brunell-0

I say Brunell to start this season.
I say Ramsey to be an understudy and a great backup if there is a QB injury this season.
Regardless of who plays, I want him to play great!
I say Ramsey is our future. And the future will be great!
So, Brunell for now but give the kid a bit of time...
Ramsey - 1 Brunell - 1

Ok Bacon for the 134th time (sorry but this topic just past the Bailey topic for most talked about) Brunell was brought here to start not to hold a clip board. Why would you want a guy who's been to the Conference championship game on the bench? I too like Ramsey but I think Gibbs took one look at the films from last year and said "We need a starting QB" Are you doubting Gibbs?? If Ramsey has what it takes Gibbs will see to it that he gets his chance.

Just one thing,
Brunell will start the season, Ramsey will finish it and will guide the redskins to the playoffs, Brunell is to fragile and eventually he will not finish the season

It should be Brunell and it will be Brunell. This can only help Ramsey in every way possible. I love Ramsey, but watching him in the last couple of games has made it painfully obvious that he needs some REAL tutelage. My biggest concern with him is his tendency to audible way too much. Granted, in any system the QB has to have the smarts to audible at the right time, but he seems to be trying too hard to be perfect. As a result, it seems like he audibles on every play. He needs to have a little more faith in the system. I feel bad for him cuz it seems like the last two years under Spurrier have been wasted, but if he's patient I honestly think he's got a bright future ahead of him. But, for right now, Brunell's our man.

Brunell will start this year and Ramsey will start next year. But remember the competition is not over we never know.

I'm all for the the best person for the job. So far, Brunnell has been better than Ramsey. Ramsey's the man. I want him to win the job but I more want whomever puts us in a position to win...> Brunnell's done that so far.

I'm gonna sound kinda harsh here and I don't mean to make this a personal attack against anyone; however, I heard the announcer say today (watching the Skins-Fins game) that the Redskins fans were among the best, most informed, most educated fans in the league.
I simply cannot believe that fans that are so informed and so educated can even suggest that Ramsey should start ahead of Brunell!
Brunell has much more/better pocket awareness. He has much better game sense. He has much more experience.
Folks....this really is a no-brainer.
Brunell is the QB of this Redskins team because he is the best one we have right now.
Ramsey is the future. Let him hold the clipboard and learn for a while. That will serve him better in the long run.
OK

FINAL result for this season:
Brunell 15,427
Ramsey 15
Final result for next season:
Ramsey 15,427
Brunell 15
It's settled.

Brunell. Ramsey is in his rookie season of learning an NFL offense. That, and all the damage that SOS did to this kid's psyche and confidence, makes him hardly the choice to be the best QB for this team.

Damaged psyche? A lack of confidence can never make up for the complete inability to make decisions in the pocket.
Ramsey can only ride the coat tails of Spurrier's failures for so long. The preseason was the perfect opportunity for him to prove to a HOF coach that he can make it happen. Gibbs gave him the perfect pass protection scheme and running game he supposedly needed.
So far he has been miserable -- and not just his numbers. PRam looks scared in the pocket and can't seem to find any receivers. My vote -- Brunell and HBeck for second string.

Please calm down people.
Let us watch the next two games, particularly against the Rams.
As Joe put it yesterday:
Asked whether the choice would come after the Rams game, Gibbs replied, "I don't know. It's whenever I feel the most comfortable. I wouldn't put a time [on it]."
In Gibbs we all trust. My decsision will be -his- decision.

The first time Brunell goes down and Ramsey starts warming up on the sideline, I'm gonna be saying "oh no"...

Actually, I think it's HIS decision that'll be yours, no?
The way it's phrased sounds like Joe will be dialing up north to make his QB decision. I may be wrong, but I hardly think he'll do that.
I'm with you, though, Gibbs will make the best decision for the team.
I think that, since practices closed to the public, Joe's installed a pro-system, the likes of which, Patrick has yet to see during his short NFL career.
My decision

His decision will be my decision???
It could sound awful as well
Let us say: We will all seat and enjoy Joe's choice!
He has never ruled in authoritarian manner. He is a coach that sees what counts andmeasures the development of each player carefully. He listens to the people around him but his choice is his alone in the end.
Patrick is really in his first year in the NFL-Gibbs system. The kid will do a lot better than you see now. Be patient and let him be groomed by Joe. An understudy of Brunell is not a bad idea at all. It was Joe's idea after all.
