I just saw on Espn that somehow he signed with the Cardinals. Maybe they Claimed, him I don't lnow can someone explain this to me.

The Cards and Lions both put in a claim for him by the deadline yesterday. The Cards had a worse 2003 record than the Lions. So they were awarded Iffy.

Cardinals claim Ohalete

Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals have claimed safety Ifeanyi Ohalete off waivers from the Washington Redskins.

Ohalete started 15 games last season for the Redskins and had a career-high 105 tackles with three interceptions and two forced fumbles. He had fallen on the depth chart with the emergence of rookie Sean Taylor and second-year man Andre Lott and was placed on waivers on Tuesday.

Ohalete was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Southern California prior to the 2001 season. He had spent all three years of his NFL career with Washington.

The Cardinals waived cornerback Eric Joyce on Wednesday.
