Defense let us down????

I keep seeing this on the Washington Post website. I think this week and against the G-men.
I for one disagree. Our defense is great, a lot better than it should be given our weak D-line.
I put the blame on the offense who often causes the defense to be on the field entirely too much, or in bad situations.
Yesterday without Smoot in, I think they did decent. Of course they weren't as good, but they didn't do anything too horrible. A lot of their problem came from the coaching, and play calling.
If our offense could score, so much pressure wouldn't be on them.
What are your thoughts?

I thought the defense played awesome in the first half yesterday, and even pretty well in the 3rd.
But the wheels fell off in the 4th.
We made pittman look all-world... and he isn't.

Our defense got embarrassed yesterday....and are far from great...I'm not even sure they're that good..IMHO...and didn't play as a unit or adjust.
They weren't on the field in the 1st half...particularly the 1st quarter, because the offense had a long possession and converted on all most every 3rd down.

They make the Bucs punt after Patrick threw and INT. Early in the 1st Qtr.

I think the whole team forgot to come out of the locker room the second half. But...we'll go to Buffalo and kick butt next week.

I like terri's idea, no blame, just play better.
I think the defense blew in the second half, drives of 81, 90 and 75 yards by the BUCS??? THIS ain't the colts or the chiefs, or hell even the cowboys...But we can't be giving up 3 drives that long, no wonder they were dead in the 4th quarter.
Our defensive game plan is kind of wacked though, lavar takes way too many chances, especially since he hasn't made a HUGE play in almost 2 years. Where are our picks for TD's, sacks, even QB hurries???
The whole team must play better, or else we will be hoping to be better next year.

Seems we don't get pressure on the QB with a normal rush, and when we do do an all out blitz (like 3rd Q 3rd & 16) they burn us for a first down. That play killed us - they went on to score.
Got to hand it to TB, they out played us in all aspects in the second half. Including breaks - remember the fumble we didn't get and the Bowen Interception for a TD we didn't get. Game breakers ladies and gentlement, Game breakers.
But, they play on the same field with the same football so no use crying about it now. Bring on the Bills and let's lace em up again.
