Eagles Sign Rookie DT McNeil

The Philadelphia Eagles announced the signing of rookie defensive tackle DeMarco McNeil. To make room on the roster, the Eagles released WR Yardon Brantley.
A four-year starter at Auburn, McNeil (6-1, 301) recorded 195 tackles, including 13 sacks in his career. After redshirting as a freshman, went on to post 35 tackles for loss, 5 FRs , 5 FFs , 3 INTs and 13 batted passes as a Tiger. Earned first-team All-SEC honors as a senior after a 55-tackle, 6-sack campaign. Was the first lineman to earn Alabama's "Mr. Football" after leading Mount Blount HS (Pritchard, AL) to state titles in his final two seasons. Also played basketball and baseball (pitcher). Attended graduate school at Auburn after earning his degree in criminology. Has hopes of becoming an FBI agent once his playing days are over and is also an aspiring actor and comedian. Born DeMarco Anderson McNeil on 12/15/79 in Eight Mile, AL.
