Tim Hasselbeck to the Jets??

It's slim pickings. The list of free agents includes Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Shane Matthews, Chris Redman and Rob Johnson. Carter is the most accomplished of the group, but the Jets don't appear interested because of his personal baggage.
The Seahawks' Brock Huard, his brother Damon of the Chiefs and Bucs backup Jason Garrett all could also become available if their teams decide to cut them.
The Jets could explore a trade, with Redskins third-stringer Tim Hasselbeck a possible target. Or maybe offensive coordinator Paul Hackett can convince Steve Beuerlein, who fits the West Coast offense, to come out of retirement.

Hmm! Do they have anything that we want?
OK, Hasselback for J. Abraham straight up!
Chad

I doubt that would happen. How about Hasselbeck and one of our 4th or 5th receivers? [I don't want to trade Thrash, Gardner, or McCants.]

I would give up Hasselback and even Gardner! He drops way to many balls! If we can get O-gun I would do whatever it takes! Our Defense would be awesome with O-gun!

Hasselbeck stays with the Redskins...maybe as number 2...oh, the heresy!
But, seriously, I think Ramsey needs some teaching and some care. I don't think he is ready to play in the NFL, although he has the arm and the attitude and the future ahead.
Hasselbeck doesn't seem to have a strong enough arm to start, but he seems to flow with a game better. He seems more decisive, more attached to the game. Ramsey always seems a little behind the beat.

He signed. So what happens now?

I think we keep Tim and he gets traded next offseason. God knows, there will be a few teams in need of a good Qb at the end of the year, as always.

The Bills could sure use him now. I don't want to lose him though. Looks nice as #3 to me.
