one last knock on Spurrier: During last night's telecast Jeff Bostic said he was talking to John Jansen about Gibbs' vanilla pre-season game plans and Jansen said "at least we have a game plan". Bostic said "what do you mean?" Jansen said Spurrier never had a game plan, pre-season or regular season, in the two years he was here...incredible...

I was telling some friends last night while hearing that statement from Bostic that all along, I kept thinking that there has to be something to this "aw shucks" style that Spurrier had. I said, "he must be sly like a fox. He's got to have something up his sleeve."

As it turns out, he was just the unqualified bumpkin that I thought he was from jump. Must be nice to make 5 mil/per for two years plus "go away" money. You know he got "go away" money.

i guess he was clusless at best.jansens comment says alot there.no direstion and no one to turn to-it had to be really hard on him.

So you mean there were teams out there that were worse than a team with no gameplan? That's a little scary.

Damn, 7 wins one year and five years the next is pretty good without a game plan.
