What uniforms are we gonna wear?

Any word on how many different uniforms we're going to wear this year? It seems like the last two years, and every other team in the NFL is coming up with these funky looking USFL style uniforms that just don't look like the NFL. I hope we stick with the traditional burgundy pants for home games, and red jerseys for away games. THAT'S IT!!!

Whats up with the Burgundy on Burgundy. That would be cool with a gold stripe down the side.

I think only these guys would endorse white on white!

White jersey, burgendy pants for home. Burgendy on Burgendy for away.

Or maybe fusia, black and teal....just a thaught!

Yuk! That's something that would look like, The Big Sky conference, or something like that. No way!

During Joe Gibbs era the redskins always used white jersey and burgundy pants including most away games, the only time they used burgundy jersey was when they went to dallas or sometimes philadelphia. Joe likes to wear white jersey and burgundy pants.

I hope they retire the Florida State arrow helmet. I hate those helmets. I hope the colors are true burgundy and gold, not red and yellow. I would like to see burgundy jerseys with gold pants and white jerseys with burgundy pants. I'm not a fan of white on white.

Gibbs was the one who started the Redskins in wearing white at home. At first I thought it was part of the growing trend in the NFC East to get the Cowboys to wear blue. But Gibbs said he did it because of the heat factor.

In his days in San Diego, they used to start out each season wearing white at home, then switch to blue at about the midpoint of the season.

I think that might have been his thinking here. But he liked the look of the white jerseys and burgundy pants and decided to keep it. It wasn't until Marty that we again saw the Redskins wear burgundy at home.

I dislike the white-on-white.
I loathe the burgundy-on-burgundy. The one poster is right. This ain't the WAC.
I think they'll break out the retros for one home game this year, as per NFL rules.

I like the white on white also.

Has anybody played ESPN? If so, have you seen the all burgundy helmet? It has no decals or anything, just all burgundy! I'd love for us to switch to that helmet for a game.

Also, I'd like for us to have a black uniform also.

Yeah black is extremely slimming..............wait why black again? Shouldn't we stick with the team colors??

I have a suede Redskin varsity jacket. The sleeves are burgundy and gold. The rest of the jacket is black. It has the indian head patch on the front and a big indian head on the back. I must say that the color black makes the jacket look really cool.

What are we, the Eagles? Slowly morphing our uni's until we can make them black without anyone really noticing. . .

The more the uniforms change, the worse they become (on average), at least in my opinion. I have a feeling that I'm in the minority on this website (never seen a thread on it in my time here) that really liked the 70th anniversary jersies.

Or maybe we could bring back the helmets that had the feathers curving around the portrait circle. . .

I heard at the Redskins store in Dulles that the Skins were going to wear the throwbacks once this year.

I know I'm going to get slammed but I love the jerseys that are white in the front and burgundy on the sides and back. It's different. And I'd buy a jersey like that. But then again I'm a girl! ;-)

That's strictly a fan/souvenir jersey. You'll never see it in a game.
