In the first preseason game, we got a glimpse of the stud player that is Sean Taylor. Two picks, one TD.

Here is his first INT.

So. I ask you. How many interceptions with Sean Taylor get this year?

Yes. Sorry if I was confusing. I am referring to the "regular season".

I'm going with 9 or more. He's on pace to have 32, after Monday night's performance! Gotta set our goals high, eh?

He may be limited to 5, because teams are going to start throwing away from him. But he will also cause 5 fumbles and recover 3.

I dunno... teams are not exactly throwing balls in Ed Reed's direction all the time either. Of course.. he does have Chris Mcalaster back there.. which(as we all know) changes things a lot). ut Iam going to go with .. 8 interceptions. Sure the game is played faster than college but 2 in his first game in impressive, and I know we have all seen that awesome clip of him running 25 yards acorss the field to make an int and fall into the other team's (gators?) bench.

I have to say 9 or more...I think we could have another DG on our hands....just a little slower.

If DG could catch he would have had 200 INT's. DG was good and an important part of the team for 20 years, but I think when all is said and done, there will be no comparison.

3-5 because he is a beast and QBs will be scared to throw his way.

I am guessing 6 and 2 TD returns

and in the second game..... just kidding - that would be it as I think they wont be throwing at him all year

Good point JDC. While many interceptions would be great, I think his impact will be felt all over the field with things like sacks, fumbles, interceptions, and intimidation of receivers. He is the total package, and once he learns the defense, and can rely on his instincts without thinking too much about his assignment, he'll be dominant, a real game changer. I hope the light goes on for him soon.

I disagree on one point. I think that most QB's are going to think "here's a rookie, lemme try and burn him", and they'll throw right at him until he makes them see the light. Remember, QB's have their own rather healthy egos, and they aren't going to want to admit that a rookie has them scared to try his side of the field. So I'm going with 7-8. But in the SECOND half of the season...

Hey DESkins, I disagree with you....sort of.

There are "rookies" and then there is "Sean Taylor". QBs are gonna know who this kid is, trust me.

With him playing FS/Center Field, I don't think they will be able to throw away from him as easily as they can a corner. I say he will have 7+ picks.

5-6. he's still a rookie. pass rush would help, but at the same time, he'll turn some heads. (mainly the heads of the WR's that try to go over the middle in front of him!)

He'll have a few picks, but his biggest conribution will be to the disruption of the other teams attempts to get a short passing game going over the middle... there are going to be a lot of WR's and TE's developing bad cases of "gator arms" this year. This will really simplify the jobs of the CB's some, 'cause they'll be able to cheat to the outside a little (knowing that the slant and in routes will be really tough for the WR's). In other words, expect to see the numbers go up for the corners, as well.

Additonally, playing center field, it's a little difficult to "throw away" from him... if they go deep or over the middle, there's a good chance that ST will be in the thick of it. OUCH!

he really is awesome... i think 3-4 interceptions is pretty darn good.. and i also think he will get/cause some fumbles...

the play right before he made his 2nd interception... he came in on a run play and totally blew up the RB.. he put a lick on him... John Maddens face lit up when he saw that hit and was about to talk about it but Barry Sanders was talking... this kid is awesome!!!!!!

I don't want to go too high with my choice, as I believe that he'll be in on so many blitz packages.
Let's go with 5-6.
