Awesome! I know its only pre-season, but this kid got skills......2 int's 1 td. Not bad for a rookie.
They should stick him on 1st string against carolina
and see what he really got.

I know Sean Taylor had a great first game, but I think we really should have draft kellen winslow. I mean at least winslow has kept to one agent, he hasn't gotten hurt, and is not allergic to shaving cream pies.

HA! Hope I had you going there for a minute...

Just moved to Oregon from D.C. Thank God for DirectTV and the NFL package. I work with a bunch of Bronco fans so yesterday was "interesting" to say the least.

Yes, you did.

Glad you could watch the game. How's the weather up there?

As for Taylor, he was nice against the backups. I agree, we should put him in with the 1st stringers to see just how good he is against real competition. But, I'll leave that decision up to the coaches.

Yeah, I think he earned the promotion. He looks even bigger in a 'Skins uni than he did in college! He just physically manhandled the reciever on the first int. Didn't even need to push or bump or anything, just screened him off the ball! Might have been the second team in there but that's just unfair. I'm just disappointed I didn't see him lay into anyone. Can't wait to see him up against Shockey or TO. Just thinking of him back deep with LA on the weak side and Washington on the strong side. Now those are three big, fast, physical guys! Nice to see Springs come up with the int as well. Champ who? :D

Oh yeah, to add to what I said above. Did anyone have any trouble telling Taylor apart from Lavar. With the tinted visors, the size of Taylor, and 56 vs. 36, I was having trouble when Taylor first got in there.

Well I can tell you that I sat in a block of seats with nothing but Bronco fans... and man were they sorry. They all knew what I thought of ST, I'll tell you that.

All I can say is that I never took my eyes off of him from the moment he walked on to the field. I was slinging a lot of crap about him to the sea of Blue and Orange and they weren't impressed...

... until they watched him play.

This guy could be very special... while one quarter doesn't mean anything... his combination of size and speed is phenomenal.

I'm told I know something about the Skins, and about football.... take it from me... this guy is a phenomenal talent. In a game marred by such a devastating injury to Jansen, ST provided some joy.

Who told you that ?
They lied to you, son. :)
It turns out that these Redskins have me feeling more practical than sentimental. What I want to know is, is there a viable replacement for the Rock ? Nothing comes to mind. I keep hearing Orlando Pace, but I'm not down with that move for many reasons. Money aside, I don't think he's cut out for the job.
As for young Mr. Taylor, anybody can fool me for a game.
Remember Timmy Smith ?
I want to see how he puts all these distractions aside for 16 games and just focuses on the game he's being so well paid to play. With Taylor, the pedigree is certainly there. Is the intestinal fortitude to go balls-out, every play ?
I will say this. He didn't remind me of any of the great safeties I've had the pleasure to watch for all these years. He's in a class of his own.
Let's hope it doesn't go to his head.

Well, I think that Bugel will figure something out. We have some decent back ups. Check out redskins.com and they give some sort of breakdown of the four guys that could fill the spot. If those guys work hard enough they could fill the spot. Probably not as good but they would be getting the best training from the best line coach of nfl history.
