I am surprised that you guys have not commented on S Taylor's play in the backfield last night. He seems to "float like a butterfly and stings like a bee". :D :D :D

Actually, if you go through the posts in the Training Camp forum, you will see plenty of praises. He was awesome last night. I hope it is a sign of things to come. Next we need to see him do it against starters.

Speaking of the Training camp forum, I am moving this thread there.....

Yeah he is awesome. There was definitely no sign of any injury he received in training camp. BUT................now that we've seen this. I say he gets very little preseason play. Call me crazy but we don't need to lose another good player to preseason injury! ;-)

He was all over the place. He's soooooo fast for a guy his size. I'm looking forward to seeing his growth on and off the field as a Redskin!

Sean Taylor was outstanding last night. His overall size is the first thing that stands out at you. He looks like a linebacker. I think he's going to be a force to be reckoned with. He could quite possibly change the definition of the job description for a safety. He's going to raise the bar for other safeties around the league.

And, as Jake noticed in a previous post, he's still scored more TD's than Kellen Winslow II.

I must admit though, up until last night, I had some reservations about his development. He's ready to go!!!

Sean Taylor is a force today. This kid has all the tools (except picking agents). He can play cornerback, he is the size of a linebacker, and he has the instincts of a former Skin by the name of Kenny Houston.

I only mean that until we see him in a whole game against NFL caliber players, we can't say for sure....the signs however, are very promising.

The signs, imo, are reliable. He displays certain attributes that are uncommon to most safeties. See his awareness? There's that certain "sixth sense" he showed during his pick in the endzone. Stalking the receiver, he was able to turn around just at the right time. Most young cornerbacks can't do that, nevermind a safety. That awareness by itself is a gift that can't be taught. Combine it with his other attributes and you've got something real special.

Unless I'm daft, the secondary is referred to as the defensive backfield.

taylor looked good. he has uncanny ability for his size. he was able to read the qb's eyes. 2 int's isn't bad for a first outing, even if it was against backups.
