Losing Jon Jansen will be a huge loss for our team. More importantly though, think of how dissapointed Jon Janses himeslf is right now. No one was more optimistic and enthusiastic about playing for Joe Gibbs than Jon Jansen was. NO ONE was looking more forward to playing this year. NO ONE was more passionate about playing for Joe Gibbs. NO ONE wanted to win for Joe Gibbs more than Jon Jansen. Since Joe Gibbs announced his return, Jon Jansen has threaded a thin line between criticizing Spurrier for the pass protection problems last year and looking forward to correcting that under Buges. The way in which he embraced Joe Bugel was pure class. The class with which he handled everything in the last two years is to be commended. Not only will I miss him on the field, but I feel bad for him personally. He was so excited to be playing this year. It's just proof positive that only the good die young!

I definetly agree with you about Jon's personal feelings of disappointment. That crossed my mind as well.

However, Jon is not DEAD. He will be back next year. His heart is bigger than his head. He will recover and start next year.

Not only that, but I'm sure there is more than ONE person who wants to play/win/celebrate with Joe Gibbs on that team. We'll be fine, and Jon will be back. He can be a good mentor to his replacement.

He has already stated that he will be there for every practice and on the sidelines every game doing whatever he can to help the team. He is a class act.
