Im kinda split on this:

First and Foremost I think that Winey will get the nod and Wilson and Molinaro will defenetily get their snaps as well. I believe that these guys can do it. If they can have the heart and dedication that Jansen plays with sky is the limit because their will be too many doubters out there.

If they don't "fill the void" appropriately, I think it is wise to have something in place before the regular season starts.

As for a trade happeneing, we need to feel out the sitauation and make sure we don't over pay to get just a "warm body" . In a worse case scenario we already have that.

And as for the Dolphins, I wouldn't be suprised to hear Garderner being packaged with a running back and a pick or two for O-Gun and a decent OT and possibly one of there picks. We know how the rumors fly and I'm sure we will see plenty postings on that in the coming days.

The H-Back is a huge part regaurdless if Jansen is healthy or not. That postion has so many different tactics within the playbook it will be interesting to see how successful some Defenses are against us even if we have a second tier tackle lining up against them.

Time will tell what is gonna happen before we face Tampa Bay on Opening day. Im sure Joe and Staff will do the right thing and we will headed back in the right direction.

On closing note, I look forward to seeing Jansen have a good recovery, take your time man, this type of injury can't be rushed. We will all miss you and pray for you each and every step of the way.

This bothers me greatly. We cant replace him. The first thing that came to my mind was Strahan. He is going to eat our lunch!! Jon made him a non factor most of the time. I think Winey is a good tackle and he showed it last season. I just think this is funny because I was promoting that we trade Mr. Alabama and go with the cheaper Winey. This sure doesnt look good.

Just a quick question about the injury. Is there a difference between a ruptured and torn achillies tendon. I know for a fact that a torn achillies is an injury that takes a year to fully recover from. All this talk of him maybe coming back this season got me thinking that rupturing is different than tearing. :feedback;

Is it possible to move Samuels over to the right to protect Brunell's blind side (if he wins) and take our chances on his front side?

Moving Samuels will not happen. He struggles enough on the left side and would stink on the right. I have faith in Buges and he'll plug a body in there and I'm sure it will be pretty seamless.

If I made the choices, I would stick with Winey unless he screws up royally. If he screws up, I would look for a free agent. Maybe James "Big Cat" Williams.

I'm thinking that Winey is going to get the nod.

It sucks this injury happened, but on the bright side of things this injury happened a month before the regular season. Buges has several weeks to work with Winey and the other Offensive Lineman. If it happened a week before we play Tampa then I would be worried right now.

I think the only reasonable approach is to do a 1-for-1 replacement at RT and leave the other four spots alone. Kenyatta Jones, Winey, whoever. Just plug them in there.

If you move Dockery or put Raymer in at center and move the other two over, you're weakening 2 or even 3 spots along the line.

There's still some cohesion work in progress here among the O-line as a whole. Those other four need to learn how to work side-by-side as much as they need to come up with the best Plan B to replace Jansen.

From what I heard locally this morning, Kenyatta Jones is favored to start because of his experience starting at right tackle. Moving players now would be a mistake IMHO. Randy Thomas is a beast and will help whomever gets the nod do well. At least they still have four games together to get to know and trust each other before the season starts.

Man, I never thought I would have to give my thoughts on who would replace Jansen until he retired. This sucks!

Cheer up JansenFan. Jansen held the fort well while he could, and he will be back in his post in due time.

I'm not worrying about our depth at RT, since our strength is our coaching staff. Last year, we had just about the same players and we were the laughingstock of the league because of remedial coaching.

Let's not worry about getting someone else to try to jell with the team that's currently in place. Let's allow our high-priced coaches (worth it)show us what they can do. They are motivators and true leaders, not experiments. The Skins will get the job done.

It's a very tough loss, considering Strahan and Kearse are both Left Defensive Ends, and will now be going against a backup, or James "Big Cat" Williams. That spells trouble.
