I personally had high hopes for Gardner when he came in. What has been his biggest drawback. Can he overcome them.

I agree. If we can get Ogunleye to agree to a decent, not huge contract, then I'd pull the trigger. Gardner has been a pretty decent #2 for us, but we are pretty deep at WR. Downgrading the #2 WR spot a bit while upgrading DE a pretty fair amount is well worth it IMO. Pass rush is and has been a major problem for us ever since Gibbs left. Williams could definitely use Ogunleye.

Bring on McCants!!! I'll take him for a #2, he's got the size AND the hands!

I can garantee that that trade will not happen. Nothing against Gardner but Ogun is too good. We would have to get a big name WR for him or we will be keeping him. You can't score on us if our D is healthy. Why give up a dominating defensive player to create a mediocre offense.

Well, you guys cant seem to find a way to sign the guy. So, what good is it for you.

I think we will find a way to sign him when we see there is no good trade for a good WR. We have the money now that Smokey retired.

You can't have 2 top, #1 (pay) DE's. Ogunleye wants BIG money, he may not come to us, but I wouldn't bet on him being in Miami at the start of the season.

I agree. He seems pretty stubborn and
i dont think that he'll just settle. My question is, is would Gibbs want a guy like this?

I'm not sure how you have all this money sitting around, even without Ricky's contract. You just gave a $6 million roster bonus (which means it is all due this season) to Chambers. You can't have but so much cap space lying around.

if ricky has to pay his bonus back, the team recoups that cap space, i do believe.
