August 5, 2004
Nearly 1,000 children from Washington, D.C.'s summer recreational programs attended the Redskins Training Camp Built by The Home Depot on Thursday. The children had the unique opportunity to experience the excitement of Redskins football and each child received a 2004 Redskins Read activity book.
The visit was sponsored by the Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation and the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.
This group of D.C. youth that visited training camp on Thursday is just one of dozens of local youth organizations that will visit Redskins Park this summer to watch practice.
The Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation is an organization that links public and private resources to strategically address the long term needs of children, youth and families in the District of Columbia.
