I know everyone wanted taylor over winslow except a few of us like myself. I am now seeing why I wanted winslow more and that is because I saw the fire in his eyes to become a redskin. He wanted to be coached by gibbs and follow his fathers footsteps. We need a few more true redskin guys that could stick around and perhaps build another dynasty and I think he could have fulfilled that roll

Ummm... at least Taylor's IN CAMP!
And what do you mean when you insinuate that Taylor doesn't want to be a Redskin? He's here isn't he?
Winslow was offered the BIGGEST tight end contract in NFL history and it isn't good enough for him.
And I don't want an ungreatful kid on my team. Remember after the draft when Winslow said we'll make him pay?
I remember and that's why it will be so enjoyable to see Taylor knock him out when he comes downfield or in the middle.

I don't understand, everyone was freaking out cause he waited till the last minute to get an agent, but HE DID & he signed ON TIME. Now he fired his agent & everyone is freaking again! He signed a contract, he's a Redskin, if he feels a need to get a new agent, go get it Sean! It's time to put this to bed!

My understanding of the situation was that after talking and meeting with winslow, Gibbs basicly thought that he was "not a redskin." From what i can tell he is a punk and a jerk, who just wanted a big contract. Gibbs didn't like him, which is enough for me.
I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, cause I'm not sure, but i thought I read somewhere that Chris

ey had more receptions, yards, and a higher average than winslow, and won some blocking award or something, and was team captian.
The way I see it,

ey is better than Winslow anyway, he looks like a great blocker, which is what Gibbs wants out of his TE's.

Absolutely. He's still practicing isn't he? If he holds out now, then I start to worry, otherwise, give it a rest.

How do you fire Mato and rehire Drew? My guess is that Drew has better relationships with endorsements?

The one thing about Drew is he has a good relationship with Dan Snyder... and Cleveland can keep Winslow (if they can ever sign him).

Winslow didn't want to block at Miami and he won't block in the Pros. He is Keyshawn in a TE's body, all he wants is the ball. Not a Joe Gibbs prototype TE.

I wanted Sean over winslow because your offence may be able to score 40 points a game but it doesnt help if your d. let the other team score 41 points.
Defence over Offense

How does one go from "really wanting to be a Redskin" to really wanting to "make them pay"? "Win-Slow" is a perfect fit for the "dog pound" in Cleveland, not in burgundy-n-gold. Taylor needs to get his act together.

I think the point isn't that Taylor can't hold out now, or has already signed so now he's locked up....the point is that he's a headcase. Great, so he's in camp and didn't hold out...that doesn't hid the fact that he doesn't have all his marbles. He's unhappy already about his contract. I don't expect the Skins to want to re-do his deal at seasons end, why would they? Has all the makings of an unhappy player. And if you don't think that will affect performance...well, you lack knowledge then.
And, on a quick side note, drafting Winslow would have been a huge headache I think. But let's not get carried away and say that

ey is better than him. Not a chance.

ey did have better numbers than KW Jr., but for a smaller school with an easier schedule. But I think the point redskins12287 was making is that

ey is the better blocker.

The deal with Taylor is that he is seeing how much Fitzgerald was paid at the # 3 pick and now feels his (former) agents didn't go to bat for him. What is up with this draft class. It seems to me every one in the first round feels they should get #1 pick money and the teams are giving in to this maddness.

This is a crazy draft class. Whats up with Rivers???? This guy was very lucky to get picked as high as he did and should be happy to get #4 money.

What does he not understand? He is not a WR? He's a safety, and is THE HIGHEST PAID SAFETY in the league!!??

You're joking, right? When asked by KW1 about which agent to hire, the Redskins essentially said "anyone but the Postons".
Seems to me that if KW2 really wanted to be a Redskin, he would have hired anyone but the Postons.
KW2 is all about KW2... not a Gibbs defined "Redskins type player". I concur with hkiss444... he is Meshawn in a TE body.

What I dont understand is why everyone is jumping on taylor's back, when he has never once said that he wanted to hold out, be traded or not be a redskin.

I agree Winslow is selfish, and is unlikely to excel in the "little things" that Gibbs so depends on from his TE's. BUT, even though I'm not a Keyshawn fan, I have to point out that he is one of the best blocking WR's in the league. Winslow hopes he's as good at TE as Keyshawn is at WR. So far Winslow is all talk and no walk.
and who cares about Sean Taylors agent? His agent isn't going to make any tackles for the Skins this year!
