NFC GAME OF THE WEEK

Washington at Philadelphia. The Eagles came out with a brilliant run-heavy game plan last week to win at Buffalo and avoided starting 0-3. That philosophy also helped get Donovan McNabb out of his slump, as he just went with the flow of his passing and running skills.

The great play of Philadelphia's young secondary, which had to fill the big shoes of Brian Dawkins and Bobby Taylor, also was a nice development. It can't let up this week, because Troy Vincent joins Dawkins and Taylor on the shelf.

Steve Spurrier's passing game has succeeded because of his dedication to the running game, but although the Eagles have struggled to start healthy corners and safeties, their run defense has remained stingy. That should keep Trung Canidate and Ladell Betts from providing balance, allowing the Eagles to blitz Patrick Ramsey often.

Laveranues Coles and Rod Gardner will get good yards against the resulting single coverage, but the Eagles will find enough punch with McNabb's playmaking and continued solid running vs. the Redskins' front four to get their first win at Lincoln Financial Field. Eagles 20, Redskins 16.

Ok I don't like this person! Who ever it is! It's one thing to say Eagles it's a whole different ball game to think the Eagles were better so they'll get even better. We are getting better too, did this punk not realize that??? Oh well bring on the naysayers! We'll show him.

I've long been past caring what other people (outside the fandom) think about my favorite teams.

It's good to be the underdog with a team that really has a shot and doing some damage. Been awhile since we could say that.

Will Lavar be on shadow patrol with McNabb?

Let's not underestimate the power of the payback. Trotter will unleash, (he's be thwarted twice now and while verbally quiet this week, make no mistake, the man is gonna be pumped. He has quietly gathered focus this week, low key; and, like at rattler lying in wait, the snake shall get his prey and kill the bird. So, you can be assured Trotter will summon his secondary, Armstead and LA, and the entire D will rock and ring McNabb's clock; I predict, more than once. I think we should all put on our seatbelts, as it's gonna be a wild ride tomorrow. Then again, how much fun would it be to blow them away?!?!?! So, I agree with Boss and others that this is the 1st real shot we've had to beat Philly in Philly in quite sometime.

Go Skins!
Skins 24
Philly 21
